SOLD Remington 700 lh 16in barrel

I received this gun in partial trade for my kayak. Don't need it.

It's a AH barrel code for 1987. B serial # prefix. Remington changed to C prefix in 11/87.
A good guess is youth synthetic model with a 16 in barrel left hand 308.
Original pre jlok with an walker trigger.
i tried calling Remington to confirm barrel length. No luck. Not helpful at all.
Local lgs gunsmith looked at it and said barrel looks unmolested not refinished and crown looks original.
Bolt face looks little used. I fired 3 rounds for function.

High School Football Coach Fired for Praying at Games Given $2 Million Settlement

Joe Kennedy

Joe Kennedy, the high school football coach fired for praying at games, has reached a $2 million settlement with the school board and will be reinstated as a coach.
The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 in Kennedy’s favor in August 2022, with the justice’s ruling that the First Amendment protected his right to pray on the field. A court later ruled in October 2022 that the Bremerton School District in Washington State must hire him back by March 2023. In a statement on its website dated March 6, Bremerton High School said that he would be an assistant coach for the 2023 season.
“Mr. Kennedy will be an assistant football coach for Bremerton High School for the 2023 season. Mr. Kennedy has completed human resources paperwork and we are awaiting the results of his fingerprinting and background check. Mr. Kennedy will need to complete all training required by WIAA,” it said.
The district also said it reached an agreement on Kennedy’s attorney fees for $1,775,000, which the school board must approve.
“As with any other assistant coach, Mr. Kennedy will be included in coaching staff communication and meetings, spring football practice, and other off-season football activities,” the district said.
“We are thrilled that Bremerton and Coach Kennedy are back together and we hope they go undefeated,” Hiram Sasser, executive general counsel at First Liberty Institute, a legal organization representing Kennedy, told the Seattle Times.
Kennedy began praying on the 50-yard line alone at the end of games until several students started joining him, which morphed into him giving short inspirational talks in which he cited God and religion. When the school district learned of this practice, they asked him to stop and eventually fired him in 2015 when he refused to comply.
As Breitbart News profiled at the time, Sports Illustrated even waded into the debate in an article by Greg Bishop bashing the Supreme Court case, arguing that Kennedy’s win in court could be an “erosion” of American democracy.
“This Sports Illustrated article is little else but a long smear against Christians, conservatives, and white people in general, and coach Kennedy in particular, and on a vicious personal level,” Breitbart News noted.

SOLD STI Limited Edition 9mm 2011 Marauder final price drop

Looking to thin out the heard a little and this one gets no love since I got the staccato p. Although this is a much better pistol than the p I like the smaller size of the P.
I bought this new and had some feeding issues right off the bat, STI sent me a 1lb heavier recoil spring that fixed the problem. It probably has somewhere in the neighborhood of 1000-1500 rounds down the tube and since the new spring has been flawless. You will get the original packaging, original recoil spring along with a 2lb heavier spring, and 2 mags. Other than a few cosmetic blems in the coating there are no scratches or deep gouges in the material.
$2500 shipped
Last price drop to $2200 firm

now the fungus is going to get us.....

so i quit watching the news about 2 1/2 years ago. every once in a while i walk into the room someone has the bullshit on. so the story i walked in on today was about how a fungus is adapting (because of global warming-hahaha) and spreading and killing people. now the "subject matter expert" fucked up and stumbled into the truth and said "some of the measures to prevent covid helped it become more common."

so basically, facemasks. we told you fucks. NO REFUNDS.

Help identifying rifle

Hi Guys,

I received the below email, with pics from a co-worker. He has no info on the rifle other that what he states in the email, copied below. I don't recognize it either. Any help identifying the rifle would be appreciated.

"I received for free from my neighbor who is in his 70’s who just inherited from his Father that just passed at age 98. My neighbor did not have much information other than saying “My daddy owned it for years and I don’t know anything about it but it’s yours”. It’s really gunked up and needs a cleaning something fierce. (Still, not bad for free). There are not many markings, no fixed sights, looks to be a decent size round and if I measured correctly the barrel is 22.”

Penetrating Oil For Barrel Cleaning

Until a few days ago my views on barrel cleaning could be summed up as Bore Tech Eliminator, nylon brushes, cotton patches, that's it, no abrasives, ever. I only pulled out the borescope if I needed it to diagnose a problem, otherwise, it stayed in its box on a shelf.

I had arrived at this ethos due to seeing and hearing many guys go bananas with their barrel-cleaning regimes to the point where it was arguable that they were doing more harm than good. I'd been completely turned off from getting too deep in the weeds with barrel cleaning after seeing too many guys spend more time on getting good with a borescope than actually shooting.

Well, you can teach an old dog new tricks and I've evolved on the subject.

I was talking to someone I trust about it whether abrasives were a good/bad idea, etc and he made a very impactful statement: what one chooses to use as far as cleaning doesn't even really matter that much, but, the fact that borescopes are so cheap now is what is really the thing.

His point was: now that we all can see what we're doing, we should all be able to tell whether we're doing good or fucking things up, just by looking and checking. I hadn't thought of it like that, but that made sense to me.

Here's a 6CM barrel that had 2300 rounds on it when I pulled it, I used a fairly large jump and loaded 0.100" off the lands the whole time, and used a mild load making ~2900fps. Measuring the lands/throat, it barely moved, I lost something stupid like ~3 thou (almost too little to measure).

I figured it died because of fire-cracking... but now I'm not so sure... now I think it stopped shooting because of heavy carbon buildup.

I decided to put the borescope to use and try using penetrating oil as I had heard good things about it breaking hard carbon loose...

Anyhow, if pictures are worth 1000 words, here are "10,000 words". This is after soaking in Eliminator for a couple of days (didn't do a whole lot honestly), then ~30 minutes with penetrating oil, a little Iosso, and a couple of bronze brushes ->

Before:

After:

I'm going to spin the barrel back on and see how it shoots in the next week or two... but it looks like there might be more life in it yet.

If it shoots, it'll be good news because I've got another barrel with 2200rds on it that looks just like this one that maybe isn't a tomato stake just yet either... but I think if I end up hitting the next one I'm going to let it soak with the penetrating oil for a couple of days instead of the Eliminator because the penetrating oil seems to do most of the heavy lifting.

I was kind of amazed at how well, and how fast the penetrating oil worked while following along with the borescope, I think it's definitely worth giving a try if you find yourself dealing with heavy carbon. FWIW I used Liquid Wrench Penetrating Oil (yellow and white can), but went to the store looking for Free-All which I've heard is good too and I might try at some point.
