What's the deal with SBRs?

Received my PWS Mk111 Mod 2 upper yesterday and plan on SBRing the lower. Today another upper showed up. Let PWS know and they're hooking me up with a pistol lower, backordered of course, with a hefty discount for my honesty. Which is cool because I can now use the upper while the lower I originally got for it is in the SBR process.

Now to my real questions. I have heard that SBR'd lowers aren't held in jail like suppressors. True or false?
Meaning, I could use the lower while waiting on the stamp with a 16.1"+ bbl upper. T or F?

This is new territory for me since it will be my first SBR and pistol lower.

Gunsmithing Barreled Action Wait Time Concern

Hey guys, just wanted to confer with the group before losing my mind. I put in an order for a barreled action with straight jacket armory November 29 2021. Impact 787/proof 338 blank to be spun up and ends cerekoted. I was originally quoted 12-16 weeks. Since that time, I’ve only received updates when I’ve called and asked, and usually end up waiting a while for a response. This last time, I’ve waited over two months for a response. Has Covid fucked things so bad that this is the norm from overwork and understaff? If so, no beef. But I recently had a buddy get an Altus build back in 6 weeks. This month will be month 8 and I’m feeling like I should ask the hide. Thanks guys

Group slashing tires trying to expand

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/climate-activists-expand-tire-slashing-operation-nyc-cities

At least for the moment I doubt they are dumb enough to expand to Texas but you never know, technically in Texas you can defend your property with deadly force, but sadly this is only followed in rural areas, it is a really is a good deterrent and sound policy. My favorite part is they leave you a note saying not to take it personally, they are doing you a favor.

Will this etsy brass kill me?

So I found this screaming deal on etsy.com.
Screenshot_20220713-125832_Brave.jpg

But when I started resizing about 30 cases with my RCBS FL .223 small base die about 50% started to tear apart.

Screenshot_20220713-130309_Gallery.jpg

The remaining 25% were already trimmed(?) to short to be usable, and the last 25% made it through.

What would cause this shit quality? And how likely is it to blow up if I load and shoot the brass that made it through resizing? The shells are mostly LC military stamped, and I'm super green to reloading.

Interesting rimfire cleaning theory and method

I like the thinking behind this. Thoughts?

Firearms KAC SR25 APC

Regrettably selling my shooter APC. I have an opportunity to buy a nice plot of land and that would be better for my family than some of my firearms. I bought this gun very lightly used. Looked like it had been carried on a hog hunt but not really shot. I have logged 12XX rounds between training and DARC, I will include my log book. With AB39 118LR it shoots 0.87 MOA and AA11 118LR it shoots 1.1-1.25 MOA, 5 shot groups at 96 yards. My initial plan was to rebarrel this rifle with a D Wilson MFG 6.5 CM barrel and put an M Lok URX 4 on it. D Wilson did the muzzle device change for me to a Rearden Q Plan B compatible muzzle brake for use with my 5" form 1 can. I have retained the original flash hider. There are two slight spots, one a scratch that should come off from rubbing against a belt buckle and one is a slight ding in the finish probably from climbing a ladder or over a roof. Sale price will include a KAC M110 mag, and 1x M110 repair kit.

Asking 6.0k shipped, will always entertain horse trading but cash is king.
