Hey guys, finally got my EGW 40 MOA rail for the T1X. Looks great and functions even better. I got everything mounted including my Vortex SE, but how do I find dope for my rifle? This is the first time ever zeroing a scope like this, and I need help. Also, I plan on getting a kestrel eventually, but where is a good place to start for ballistics applications?

I plan on taking her out to the range for the first time this weekend, so any help is appreciated!

Is this normal? Last couple boxes of the same lot of Hornady 140 eldms have had some crooked tips. I began getting some goofy flyers. Wondering if a call to Hornady is in order. It can’t help….

How does the XTR 3.3-18 compare with the Mark 5 3.6-18 and NX8 2.5-20

Everyone seems to like them and say it has a great FOV but the NX8 has an even better FOV. The MK5 FOV kinda sucks but I like everything else about it.
Camera land has the xtr3 for $999
I can get the MK5 for and the NX8 for around &1600
If the XTR3 is in the same league than it would make sense to go that way for the price.
I don’t really care for illumination as I never use it
Also NX8 comes in SFP which I prefer but not a deciding factor

Hey All,

This one falls under the same umbrella as my Kahles K318i - finally built up a dream gun of mine and now have to let it go to pay for our AC unit that just crapped out.

The rifle is a dream and shoots itty bitty groups even with this dud behind the trigger. Less than 200 rounds on it and it has only ever had Lake City M118LR run through it for target plinking. Built by Nick over at Straightjacket Armory, it has the following specs:

- Impact 737 with round Impact bolt knob
- Straightjacket Armory barrel, 24" Kreiger Heavy Varmint contour, 1:10 twist and 5/8-24 threaded muzzle
- Triggertech Diamond 2-stage (also have a Triggertech Special Single Stage I can swap out if preferred)
- Foundation Genesis MG2
- Hawkins M5 dbm
- APW Raptor muzzle break
- Also have an Impact action wrench to throw in
- Note: bipod not included
