Looking for some knowledgeable impact people. Was eye balling the 7prc proof prefit barrels on Brownells.com for $350 shipped and trying to find out what the scoop is on the 787R.

From what I can tell it has separate threads and uses a .750 bolt diameter.

Looking at the Impact website it refers to the 787r/787nbk.

Is the long action NBK the 787?

Or is the 787 a version of the nbk?

Is there anything wrong with the 787r for a hunting rifle?

Been away for a bit. Reorganizing the other day and came across some of the receivers Theis sold after 'buying' them from an undisclosed failed machine shop. Did anyone use them for a successful build or just sold as scrap/repurposed into a lamp?

I went out of town and my truck got hammered during an overnight hail storm. Golf ball sized hail damage to every surface of the damn thing.

I'm familiar with how the process works on the property side, but not auto. Specifically, the threshold of repair vs. totaling a vehicle. I don't know how much damage paintless dent removal can repair. I'm not sure the process works of totaling a vehicle and options to buy it back from the insurance carrier.

I filed a claim and I'm waiting on the adjuster appointment.

Any insight or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Login to view embedded media Here is my review for those interested. TL;DW—it’s a really cool little PDW package. Nice to be able to drop a (non-RDS) carry or full length slide and FCU into it and have an easier to shoot package that can store 43+ rounds on board. Suppressed with the Wolfman I found that it gassed me out really fast, being so close up on it. All in all, if you have a 320 or FCU sitting around due to the current issues with the platform, this might be the ticket for you.

I’m pretty sure a lot of us, especially AR crew, have/do/will use the excellent products from KNS Precision in Fredericksburg, TX. Most of you are not aware they’re sitting plumb in the middle of a very windblown 8600 acre wildfire that erupted yesterday. Their status unknown at this moment, but would ask for all of us to have a private word for their personal safety and of their business, as well. Really great bunch of folks, local to me, and just another of those businesses making a superb product in the U.S. Hope they’re safe.

With our tax dollars . So running guns to these people and letting take over parks and apartment complexes and integrate into our schools and towns maybe wasn’t in the national interest but an open act of warfare on native citizens.
If only there was a way for federal and local law enforcement to easily identify them -like face and neck tattoos or something easy like that .

I'm having some real struggles with shooting groups. I'm slowly realizing that I just might be trash at shooting.

This is my first attempt at building and shooting a precision small frame AR. The plan was to get a barrel in and test it before sending it off to D.wilson to have it converted for the LMT MRP.

This is where it went sideways. The barrel shoots like crap. My first outing I had shot the 75gr RMRs in to a laughable 6" group (didn't measure). The 69gr SMK and N140 shot a lot better but still big.


The second outing wasn't much better. I was testing a different load and was removing muzzle devices changing bolts etc.

The groups had a totally different shape with a lot of horizontal stringing.

After getting off the rifle, I shot Black #2. I noticed a POI shift and figured I'd change my bags out (ended up stacking a fortune cookie on my Wiebad rear bag (I don't like that bag, but it fit under the B5 sopmod stock)



Do I just need to get a different stock? New rear bag? Is this barrel trash? Am I trash?

I know semi autos are a different animal but I'm not new to shooting precision rifles...

Have a DPG built vudoo gen 1. Kenny built this in early 2023. Has under 1000 rounds on barrel. I have a vudoo 360 built by kenny and a rimx. Really wanted to keep this one also. But it is time to let it go. Shoots just like all kenny’s builds! 2100 shipped!
