SOLD Remington 308 LTR 20" with trigger

Bought this from the original owner with a little less than 100 rounds on the barrel. Sold the stock and never did anything with it. Has 20 inch barrel threaded 5/8×24 from the factory. Also has a 20moa pic rail, not sure what brand it is. All original except it came with a Triggertech primary called Independence. Might have been a special run as I can not locate the exact same trigger on Web site. Pull is 1 1/2 pounds to 4 pounds. Comes as seen with barreled action and trigger, nothing else. Very clean low round count and original owner said it shot very well. I have enough 308 caliber rifles and don't need another. Great deal here. Sale is from private owner to your FFL.

675.00 shipped.......add 12.00 for the ride for insurance.

surprising results with Ginex primers

So i made up my mind about a year or so ago to only use CCI 450 primers in everything. just am tired of all the drama and bullshit with supply chain scam and trying different primers all the time. So I bought a bunch of 450 and called it a day. Now that I am down below 5K in primers and was going to make some blasting AR 15 loads and did not want to waste my .12 CCI I decided to try a few cheaper .06 primers for just blasting ammo.

So I bought some Ginex for .06 shipped to my door. I have an accurate 68 grain load with 26.5 grains of varget that I have used for quite a few years so I decide to test them out in that load first as it is a known load to me. My load with CCI primers goes 2900 fps from a 20 inch barrel has an SD of ten and no pressure signs at all. I tried the same load with the new primers and was amazed that the SD was the same accuracy for both loads the same 3/4 moa and no pressure signs. The thing that surprised me was that the velocity was 2940 with the new primers. I couldn't believe it so I tested it again 2 more times with everything Identical except the primers. So so far so good I guess. has anyone else used these things yet with similar results I wonder.

Trump VP

There are a few threads with some names but want to hear who The Hide thinks can get it done with Don.Me I like the Lt. Gov from Virginia Winsome Sears. She seems to be no nonsense and she has three things that can help. Shes black, a woman and ex-military. They tried to get at her in the very beginning but she shut the shit down right away and they have left her alone since.Any Virginia members want to add anything good or bad about her?Thats my pick.

The "What If" Thread

What if the parents of a 17 year old son who was non vaxed, in excellent health, valedictorian, non drug user, basically the perfect teenager made this choice:

Connect with a top shelf Doctor specializing in reproductive medicine. Have the doctor collect sperm from their son and store it in a cryogenic facility.
On the son's 18 birthday, the Doctor does a vasectomy on the son.
The sperm is put into a "Trust" arrangement and on the son's 30th birthday, he becomes the Executor of the Trust.

Several Pro's and Con's.

The son could chose to have a child through many different means.
The son could market any sperm not needed. It would be premium grade.
Basically this would give the son time to mature, build a career and control a situation that will effect the rest of his life.

Surely there be an out cry from the liberal women that "This is just not right"....
What about a man saying "This is my body and I will do what I want with it" and the back lash.
Both physically and legally it would remove the risk of a woman being in control..... Along the lines of a prenuptial but more along the lines of a pre-child.

Please consider helping Matthew Durnford family.

Matt worked at Mile High Shooting Accessories, and was always a gem to talk to. Some of you from the Hide may have spoke with him on the phone or met him in person while dealing with Mile High. From professional standpoint and from a bullshitting standpoint, Matt was a great guy to have in our industry . Frank and I worked with Matt a lot, laughed a lot too. Unfortunately, this Sunday Matt was riding his motorcycle and was involved in an accident, he died of his injuries. He was 28yrs young and was taken way too soon.

Please consider helping us raise money for his family during this tragic time to help compensate for this unexpected tragedy. Rest easy young man, we will miss your “moosestash,” quirky smile and your willingness to help out anyone who needed it.

Frank and I will be attending his funeral this Sunday. This is just a reminder that everyday that we are here is a gift. Our time on this earth is short, make the best of it. Do good things, be spontaneous, have adventures. You never know when God calls you to him.

Uh Ohhhhhhhhhhh!

Newsmax is reporting that the NY State Supreme court has notified Judge Merchan that a "cousin" of a juror had posted on FB or something like it that Trump was going to be convicted, apparently, 1 day before the verdict was announced. This would mean that the juror would have had to notify their cousin, accordingly. They are saying that, potentially, it could result in an immediate Mistrial "with prejudice."

We shall see! 🤠

What AR15 cartridge is a worthwhile step up from 5.56?

What other cartridges that fit in an AR15 provide enough of an increase in performance (increased range, dealing with wind drift better, terminal performance, etc.) over 5.56 that make them a worthy upgrade from 5.56? I know there are the duds like the .224 Valk and .22 Nosler and there are also newcomers like the 6 and 22 ARC as well as the 6.5 Grendel that has been quietly chugging along; but do any of them bring enough of an increase in performance to the table to be worth owning? Or is it just the case that if you want a meaningful performance upgrade step up to an AR10 in .308/6.5?

Thanks for reading and looking forward to your responses.

P.S. this question may have been triggered by reading about what you all are doing with your 6ARC and 6.5G rifles and having a spare lower just lying around...

Thoughts on federal government

Follow me.

The default rule is minimal government intervention, maximum State jurisdiction, and maximum individual freedom.

We don't have a federal Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) because it would duplicate the States's DMVs. Each state has the infrastructure, manpower, and budget to run its own DMVs. Each state is positioned to run agencies according to its needs and wants. For example, Florida would have more boat registrations than, say, South Dakota. New York does not issue as many motorcycle licenses as other states. And so on. There is no need for a federal office to regulate vehicle registration and driver licensing.

We all foresee what would happen if the U.S. federal administrative state set up a DMV. It would require unnecessary additional testing, additional fees, require emissions inspections, safety inspections, and make it a general hell for Americans to register their cars and drive them. By comparison, look at Northern Virginia (Loudon, Fairfax, Alexandria) and personal property taxes and emissions inspections, which add on average in my household $3,000-$4,000 per year just to own cars. A federal DMV would mirror that and be worse.

Now extend this to the Environmental Protection Agency. Who is in the best position to protect Florida's wetlands? Naturally, it is the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. Who is in the best position to regulate energy in Texas? It is of course the Texas State Energy Conservation Office. And finally, as an example, why would we need a federal department to standardize education and implement 50 separate states in the same manner? Pennsylvania and California have individual education needs -- individual energy, trade, and banking needs. Agriculture. Disease Control. Justice. The federal bodies are on the whole unnecessary.

No need for an FBI. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is capable of handling its own cases without federal intervention. And if they were not, that is a Georgia problem.

Why do we beef up these federal administrative agencies, with separate budgets and manpower, instead of simply and more efficiently supporting State agencies that already function, or create them new if needed? The answer in part is the federal government creates work, builds the bureaucracy, and justifies its existence by new regulations. A bureaucracy's job is to maintain workload and create more.

Firearms Impact 737 rifle SOLD

Veterinarian bills force sale, no trades.

Impact 737 action
Bartlein prefit by Altus, 22" 1/8 6.5cm
Foundation Centurion with adjustable recoil pad, full arca, dark distressed, standard weight.
Hawkins M5 DBM
Area 419 Hellfire match brake
Timney Elite Hunter trigger
Quantum Gunworks bolt knob (Impact knob still on hand)

Barreled action has 43 rounds down the pipe.
Full disclosure on the barrel, headspace gage scored the chamber which left a tiny lip of stainless about midlength through the chamber. I took the barrel to a smith to get that spot smoothed out. Chamber was not opened up to fix the damage, does not effect accuracy. Barrel barrel shoots half moa easy.

Looking for $SOLD shipped as a package.
I can split barreled action from stock and sell separate.

I'll get photographs up later once I'm back home.
