Firearms No Longer Available Trade Offer Accepted

Up for sale is my KAC SR15 Mod 2 (this is not the new 3.2 bolt). Rifle is NIB condition and never fired except for the factory. It will come as pictured with the original case, one non-windowed pmag, and a pic rail and rail panels.

I got this rifle a couple years ago but never got to putting optics on it or shooting it. I also picked up an LWRC Six8 around the same time and that is the rifle I hunt with and shoot the most so this just keeps sitting in the safe.

Price is $3,500.00 if you are around Wausau, WI. I prefer dealing locally and I’m willing to drive about 1.5 hrs either direction from Wausau. If you are not lucky enough to live in the great state of Wisconsin, I’m asking $3,600.00 shipped and insured. Only going to ship to FFL. Please know the laws of your state.

If you want more pictures or have questions, send me an IM here on the Hide or text nine2zero-7one6-48two6. I can also be available for a phone call or FaceTime most weekdays after 7:30 p.m. CST.

Mr. activist has his hand in cookie jar!

More interesting to read who is giving to this moron.

I wonder what a forensic accounting of Greta Thunberg’s carbon-dripping jet-set would look like?

On the bright side… if all the money is being spent on Hoggs cushy lifestyle and paying for BS… it’s not being spent to erase the 2a. So you go David Hogg.

You got busted with your snout in the gravy bowl… Mr. “Survivor.”

Wonder what “the establishment” would be doing to a Trumper if this was how their pac’s were run?

Sirhr

To those who say lower cost guns aren't "accurate"..

I joined this forum less than a month ago, seeking information & some advice about expanding my tactical gun skills to include longer distance precision shooting. Longest shots would probably be less than 500 yards.

I have a couple of decades of practicing tactical shooting skills behind me, all AR based.

To those who say a lower cost rifle isn't accurate, I say BULLSHIT.

Yesterday, my brother & I were shooting 100 yard targets. I normally shoot at poker chips with a contrasting yard dot in the center for contrast. Chips are 1.5" in diameter, yard dots are .75 diameter. Hitting the chip isn't difficult, hitting center of dot is.

He took an unspent 12 gauge shotgun shell he found laid it atop the 2 Inch foam archery target we use to staple targets to. The primer end pointed at me. He placed a red target dot over the primer so I could see it. The front of the shell was resting against a wood backstop people staple their targets to. My foam backstop rested against it..

1 shot, and I hit the shells primer, igniting the shell, the powder burns are evident. Examine the board and you can see exactly where the shell was laying when hit. The shotgun blast penetrated the plywood backing.

We found the remnant of the shell & the red paper dot..

Now you tell me again how you need a high dollar gun with yada yada yada aftermarket parts to be accurate.

I did this with my .223 Savage Axis II Precision and a Vortex Viper Venom scope I bought less that a month ago shooting my reload of a ArmorAlly 55gr fmg, 24 grains of Alliant 1200r with a CCI 450 primer and a range scavenged case. Twist on rifle is 1:7. Hardly considered an accurate load by many.

So when people ASK for opinions on how to get started, dump the bullshit about needing a gun way outside their budgets, and offer real advice. Don't do describe your "dream gun" you don't own, actually try to help them..

Some GREAT, and very accurate weapons are out there that sell for $400 and up. Ruger, Savage, Remington and others are great starter guns to learn accuracy skills with.

Listen to their questions and offer helpful suggestions, not the same bullshit of "just save up more money" so they can afford a gun you probably don't have yourself.

I may be in the minority on this forum, but for my style of shooting, accuracy is #1, and I think most feel the same. Your "sub MOA" is impressive, but far more when inside the bullseye of the target.

12.5 criterion and garmin velocity dump

Temp around 65°

Cool air, warm sun.

Data was taken with garmin chrono

I tried to get groups but strong unpredictable gusts up to 30 mph in varying directions made it too difficult to isolate the ammo for consistent groups

Black hills 77 otm's red box. Unknown if this batch used the 77 sierra or the 77 hornady. All shot with suppressor. Data is avg of all strings. (3 strings 25 rounds)
High 2690 low 2622
avg 2649
Std dev 21
Ex spread 68

Black hills 69 TMK (only 1 string of 10 rounds)
High 2732 low 2683
Avg 2700
Std dev 18
Ex spread 49

Aac 75 gr w/o suppressor (1 string 10 rounds)
High 2600 low 2505
Avg 2554
Std dev 29
Ex spread 95

Aac 75 gr w/ suppressor. Avg of all strings (5 strings 50 rounds)
High 2647 low 2516
Avg 2557
Std dev 24
Ex spread 131

Now comes the part I was most excited about. I tested the badlands co 75 and 77 gr loaded in the Nas3 casings. These have given some really high velocities and I was hoping I would get similar. I was a bit let down.

75 gr w/ suppressor (4 strings 40 shots)
High 2738 low 2619
Avg 2669
Std dev 26
Ex spread 119

The 77's where similarly "slow" for what I had hoped for. (3 strings 30 shots)
High 2705 low 2571
Avg 2638
Std dev 28
Ex spread 134 (3 very low velocity shots)

If I exclude the low velocity shots I come up with
77's
Avg 2651
Std dev 18
Ex spread 84

75's
Avg 2675
Std dev 24
Ex spread 99

It should be noted that after taking out the shots that where much slower there were basically 2 velocities for the 75's. Most where within a few fps of 2650 OR 2700 the 77's didn't have the two distinct groups the 75's did.

*edit* spoke with the dudes at badlands. I called strictly to give data and feedback to which they didn't find the data satisfactory. They agreed the velocities were about 75 fps slower on average then they would have guessed (should have been about 2750) and they Ex spread should have been half. Long story short they will send me some new ammo to test when i get home from this upcoming deployment, none of which I asked for. That was really cool of them.

On a side note the Nas3 ammo was felt way less gassy than the aac ammo.

The last test was a poi shift when the suppressor is removed. My aac 75's (what it's zeroed on) shift .75moa left and 0moa vertically

Factory rifle with HUXWRX muzzle device added, and included.

IMI 77s and Black Hills 77s SMKs, both tipped and regular showed promise. The optic shown didn't give me a chance to really test beyond getting a decent zero to confirm groups, but JPs traditionally shoot well.

Rifle is in as close to perfect condition as it gets, but it is fired for under 100 rounds.

Scope & Rings available to the buyer as additional. Everything else pictured goes with it including original packaging.

No trades please.

Sierra Leone Declares State of Emergency over ‘Zombie’ Drug Made from Human Bones

Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio declared a national emergency on Friday over surging abuse of kush, an addictive drug that can be manufactured from powdered human bones. Addicts have been digging up graves to get the bones they need, prompting the police to station guards around cemeteries in the capital city of Freetown.
Kush is a synthetic cannabinoid drug that began circulating in Sierra Leone less than a decade ago. It is mixed and sold by organized criminal gangs, who use a variety of different substances to concoct it, including poisonous chemicals and the ubiquitous scourge of the modern drug scene, fentanyl. One of the ingredients in the most potent kush mixtures is sulfur, which can be obtained by grinding up human bones. Some users also hope to extract formaldehyde from embalmed human tissue.
The presence of human bones in the drug mixture also lends it an aura of supernatural mystique. Early reports treated the use of powdered bone as apocryphal, an urban legend that might have been started by the gangs as a marketing technique, but apparently many users are firmly convinced that human bones are an essential ingredient. As the popularity of kush exploded, so did incidents of grave-robbing.
Kush abuse flourished in Sierra Leone with astounding speed. A local doctor told the UK Telegraph in January that there were 47 known users in 2020, but the number of kush addicts admitted to hospitals surged over 2,000 in 2023, and many more are believed to have died at home or in the streets.
Government officials today say only a fraction of the rampaging kush epidemic is reported to police or doctors, and even that fraction is overwhelming hospitals and clinics. There is only one dedicated drug treatment center in Sierra Leone, it has been in operation for less than a year, and it only has 100 beds.
The Sierra Leone Psychiatric Hospital estimated kush-related illness and death has increased by 4,000 percent over the past four years. Some doctors attributed this explosive growth to the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic and its economic disruptions.
Kush users have a tendency to experience severe physical and psychological reactions to the drug, especially when they smoke mixtures that include potent toxic chemicals. Many of the victims die from organ failure, and visibly swollen limbs are a common symptom of heavy use.
Most of the users are young men, who say the state of hypnotic, surreal ecstasy they experience is worth the side effects, and the utter destruction of their lives.

Zermatt Orgin 6.5CM light primer strikes??? ( pic heavy) *RESOLVED*

Hello, first I would like to say that I read the couple existing threads on light primer strikes and followed the advice that was on those threads. I wanted to post my issue as well as magdump some photos I took with this build.

I purchased a Zermatt Origin and a Proof 6.5 Creedmoor barrel prefit for the Origin. Action was put together and headspace was checked with go/ no go gauges. Go gauge closes and no go does not as normal. I paired this with a triggertech Primary trigger. Action was torqued to the recomended 85lt lbs using the zermatt action wrench.
PXL_20240407_183909995.jpg

Today I went to the range to zero the rifle and test it with 4 different store bough ammo boxes ( hornady match, Norma match, federal 120g and Hornady black). I shot a total of 20 rounds, 15 of which had what seems to be light primer strikes. The 5 that did go off the primers looked slightly harder hit. None of the ammo had issues feeding, execting or signs of pressure excess or anything like that ( it was factory ammo). You can see the difference between the fired / non fired.

Capture.PNG
lightvsHARD.PNG

I took some of the ammo and shot it out of my beraga B14 and it shot no problem, Thinking maybe the ammo might be bad.

I took the gun apart at home and checked headspace once more and go works, no go does not. I removed the trigger and re installed it. Took the bolt apart and cleaned ( no excess grease on the firing pin or anything ) I took some Hornady brass that I was reloading and added some CCI primers to them ( NO LIVE ROUNDS). I hand fed the primed ONLY casings into the chamber, and 10/11 rounds went off. The 11th round had a light primer strike. I added 5 more rounts with primers and yet again light primer strikes.

PXL_20240407_180213059.jpg

go.PNG
nOGO.PNG

The one with the blue tape is the round that upon firing the primer did not go off.

PXL_20240407_193234894.jpg

One thing I did find weird was that I measured how far the firing pin went in when the trigger was pulled OUT of the chassis and in the chassis and I came back with 2 different numbers.
OUT OF THE ACTION
PXL_20240407_180410125.jpg

In the action ( Im not sure if this is significant or not.) I checked the action screws to make sure they werent blocking anything and no they were just fine.
PXL_20240407_183615322.jpg

I have no way to test the trigger vs a stock factory trigger or whatnot ( unless you all can think of a way)
I was wonder if maybe you guys can offer me some help in diagnosing this issue?
