Firearms Accuracy International AT308 — $3499

For fastest reply, please text me at 4045832277. I have accounts with loads of positive feedback as a seller on Gunbroker, eBay and Reddit and I am happy to verify my identity there.

Only trades I am interested in are a Nightforce ATACR 1-8 or a KAC SR-15 Upper.

Like new, save a few minor handling marks. Less than 300 rounds through it. This is the folding stock, 20" barrel, .308/7.62x51 model in OD green. Comes with one 10rd magazine, all original stock spacers/bolts, 20MOA and 0MOA top rails, and thread protector.

This rifle functions flawlessly and has always delivered 1/2MOA accuracy or better for me with FGMM 175gr rounds. I also have a BT spigot bipod mount available for an additional $50 (will sell separately).

An Interesting day

In five short months Brenda and I will celebrate 50 years of marriage. Like most, its not been easy, but it sure has been fun.

Yesterday, she decided to go with me to Prince Gun Range. Its a stretch from our home, but a great place to shoot, perhaps the most challenging range, I have ever shot at, lots of wind, lots of mirage and very hard to spot misses. I am coming to grips with it and it is a fun place to shoot.

But, when we arrived yesterday, it was shut down to mow. So, we decided to see if we could find the small hotel where two young, poor kids spent honeymoon, in all places, Lake Providence, Louisiana, not far from Prince. We think the motel is still standing but has been renovated many times, in a small town that well past being on its way down. The lake is just as beautiful but its just not an inviting local. So, we headed south for the second part of our honeymoon resource.

Winter Quarters.

The plantation home is as beautiful as ever. What a great lake house it would make and it was, located on the shores of Lake St. Joseph. But alas, after driving many miles south, it was closed. There had been a fire, and while the home stands and has no apparent damage, the father’s of Louisiana have never seen fit to reactivate it as a Historical Site. We walked around the front and took pictures, but it was posted so we did not go on the grounds. Then on for a late lunch (the range was supposed to open at 2:00PM, and we are eating lunch at Lake Bruin State Park, 80 miles and an hour and a half drive. And its 1:15. Gonna be late.

But when we arrived at 2:45, the mowing was not quite finished. Still, we had the run of the long range and had a blast. I shot as good as I ever have on that range, hitting everything I was shooting at with the two MPA’s but struggled with the RPR as I had no dope on the rounds or the settings for the ranges I was shooting.

It was a fine day, Long for sure, but A day to Remember.

Your best groups consistently from a gas gun

So, I am going down the rabbit hole of chasing precision from a gas gun, simultaneously working on developing both my shooting skills and precision reloading skills. It's a fun journey for the most part, I would be lying if I said there was never any frustration or bumps in the road!

I know a lot can be done when loading long in a gas gun if one is willing to single feed but I became curious about what realistically are the capabilities shooting either a 55/77 Berger or 69/77 SMK that is magazine length? I would be curious to hear your results, see targets and load data (I debated whether to post this thread here or in the reloading forum if Mods feel it should be moved please do so). I would like to see results at 1-300 yards ideally and although if you have a target and load that you shot in the ones when all the stars aligned that's great but really want to know data that is consistent, on any given day if you do your part it will perform at x level.

TIA

David Hogg goes to the range

Looks like David Hogg went to the range and thinks he is quite the marksman

He says he had a “Pretty tight grouping at 20 yards”. Here’s his target:

And he even offers some shooting tips:

Wish he would have put a 300 blackout round in and pulled the trigger.

This came up on another site I frequent. Thought Id pass it along. We have stickey for good ammo sites, maybe we should have one for scams.
