Should be picking one(HB model) up soon and thinking on an optic, what am I using it for? Nothing really other than having some fun when/while I can at the range, mainly at 100-300/paper/steel(300)positional and potentially 600 assuming I can hit a 5" plate 5 times in a row at 300.
Obviously not using a red dot on this, so thinking on a 1-6/8/10, I really don't care if it's sfp/ffp and know the differences. Not opposed to a piggy backed dot later but would rather not but this would be with a 2x-10, etc if I did that and weight starts to add up.

My nephew wants a BB gun for his birthday. He is turning 9 and I would like to get him something nice. He is a responsible young man who already has a .22LR for pest control on the farm.
It seems most BB guns are all plastic and quite cheap. I don't want CO² cartridges, PCP, or anything that is too hard for him to cock. Are there any decent options? Budget isn't unlimited but I would be happy to pay a few $100 for wood and steel over plastic.

Looking for a scope that will occasionally used for hunting, but live mostly on my Sig 716 DMR. Considering a Vortex PST GenII 2-10 FFP, but should I consider the 1-10 Razor? I have both PSTs & Razors (in different magnifications) and no doubt the Razor is superior, but at twice the cost not sure I can justify. MIL is a must - no MOA.

Currently have a Vortex 1-6 PST which is a SFP. Got it because the price was right which was a mistake. Did not realize how much I disliked the SFP or how the turrets were & how it felt compared to my other FFP scopes. My hunting will be up to 250 yards or so with a 450 Bushmaster, which I am sure will be like shooting longrange w/ a bottleneck cartridge. Not to mention, with my old eyes at that range 10X vs. 6X will be welcome.

Has anybody else had problems dealing with Curtis customs. I placed an order with Chase Curtis over the phone for x lite rifle paid in full was told it was a 6 week lead time and that’s also what his website claims it’s now going on 18 weeks and he hasn’t respond to my phone call or emails now. It seems like he’s lying to me saying it’s shipping for the last few weeks. I drew an Idaho sheep tag this year that starts Aug. 30 and I sold my other custom hunting setup after I placed my order with him on feb. 21 thinking I’d have it in a reasonable time. Kinda screwing me over for getting the shooting in I wanted to and at this point I don’t know if I’ll even get it before the season starts. From what I’m reading more online this might be kinda typical for him?

I won't say who made the rifle, but the price of the rifle is more than 2000 euros and the quality of the rifles is well known. I bought a brand new rifle and fired about 1,200 rounds from it, always fired with a silencer, an adjustable gas unit, no overgas. The cartridges are commercial, there were no signs of overpressure. I shoot a lot with different AR-15 223 rem and after several thousand shots I have never encountered problems with the bolt of rifles. There is a breakdown on the new AR-10 308, which is not the cheapest, after 1200 shots. The question is: do ar-10 rifles often have bolt failures? Or in my case, just a defective part?
