Pin and weld suppressor?

I dont want to SBR anything. I travel across state lines often. At least a couple of times a month and I dont want to have to do a form 5320.20 everytime I do so. I want to be able to run a rifle stock because I like to use a rear bag for far away shots and pistol braces dont ride a bag for sh!t.

As for the $200 for the pin and weld, I do my own pinning and welding. 10 seconds of welding with a tig isn't going to cost me anything.

Just FYI, interstate travel is not that difficult. You file a form that is good for 12 months. Every January I file for the states I might travel to (matches, family, vacation, etc.).

Busted!!!!

Let’s see… lose your wife. Probably lose your job at the billion dollar company you founded… and doing it all at a $&@“ing Coldplay concert? With the HR director you probably hired.

What a loser!!! Mr big brain on Brad followed the little head….

Best caliber for big game at 400 plus yards

I drew a pretty hard to get Mule tag in Montana this year. Going with a group of guys. Most of them don't understand reticles, turrets, have kestrels and claimed they are just going to zero at 200 and hold zero.......

This is your AVERAGE hunter. Now i will school these guys up and do a crash course before we head out this fall but most won't.

As much shit as we give each other, this is the top 1% of shooters/hunters.
You are correct. It’s not that difficult, but few hunters bother to understand the basics of ballistics and the tools to be reliably accurate.

Finally! We are going to catch up to Mexico!!!

Very worthwhile read…

I remember the grain crash and arguments in the 1980’s about subsidies. So knew a bit of the history. But this lays things out really well!

Healthier or not? As said above… consuming significant quantities of sugar is not healthy. But taste is taste. That the HFCS vs Sugar is more political than economic or agricultural is interesting.

As usual, subsidizing one thing has unintended consequences… so does a tariff to be realistic. But in this case, it was not market forces, but protecting farmers during the vicissitudes of Cold War grain sales policy… and remember the all-critical Iowa vote…. That’s corn country!

IT’S OFFICIAL: NPR and PBS Have Been Permanently Defunded!

This bill is a clear example of the non-serious nature of our politicians regarding fiscal sanity. The whole thing is bread and circuses. $9B is nothing in relation to the debt and deficit amounts. If they were really serious it would be ending with a T and not a B.

But the fake drama makes great tv. What else got put in that bill or what did some politician negotiate for in order to get their vote?

Best caliber for big game at 400 plus yards

If you are serious about mastering ethical 400+ yard shots on an animal, then cartridge choice comes down to minimizing the wind call error on a cold bore shot. Drop is academic. A Kestrel is a useful but imperfect tool up high in elk country where the wind vectors are all over the place.

A 215 Berger at 3000+ (e.g. 30 Nosler) gets blown around noticeably less than a 140 Berger at 2750 (6.5CM). There is more margin for error.

Too much discussion about terminal ballistics. The rationale for a magnum cartridge is more about external ballistics when you only get one guess at the wind and the consequences of a mistake are a maimed animal.
