When I separated I applied for postal positions at several hubs. When I put I was a white male, I never got a response. When I put black male, I got a response in about a month. When I put that I was a black female, I got a response in 3 days. That was in the '90's - it has only gotten worse.

Seems pretty common for the Millennials to spiral/job hop in and out of roles at similar companies…at least I saw a lot of that in my old second-career industry. I’d get them trained up as a new college hire or internal promo to manager, and a year or two later they’d jump ship to a competitor or a similar role elsewhere, usually with a slight pay bump and/or a moving and signing bonus.

A year or two later we’d see them come back as an external hire (signing bonus + stock) into a higher level position.

Craddock Precision fluted 1:7tw 15.1 recce barrel chambered in .223 Wylde. It is bead blasted, has 1/2-28 thread with 11 deg crown, .750 gas block, intermediate length.
75 rounds fired by previous owner, he says it shoots smooth and well. I borescoped it when it came in and it looked good. I saw a squirrel and never even installed it before I picked up a 14.5”

I’ve got a like new terminus S/A magnum bolt face Apollo I want to sale. Barrel was installed and has been pulled off and was never fired. Zero rounds on this action. Gunsmith bedded the action and didn’t use enough release agent, It somehow messed the DLC up behind the recoil lug. Might entertain trades but prefer cash FTF. Use the depth part of calipers to measure pin protrusion when fp is in the "fired" state. Too much protrusion, thin primers cups(cci400), and max or near max load can cause this, by themselves or in combination. Those primer disc's can definitely cause drag of fp or fail to ignite from bleeding too much energy from fp drop, via drag on spring/fp inside bolt body.

My mom was okay, but fairly manipulative. My dad was a bit of a pervert, I was always careful to not get too close to him. I could tell way back then that he had strange sexual tendencies. Fortunately my mom protected me a lot. After 22 yo, never spoke to my father again. Mother I spoke to starting about 30 years later, waited until my dad died before I would make contact.

Now the stock I had done (w Terry’s excellent hdwr) was on an HS Precision stick that came w a Rem 700 5R SS. So perhaps that is much easier to do than your Manners stock construction. But it sure as heck didn’t need to be repainted. Just some Krylon to paint both sides of the cut.

Sorry you’re having such a difficult time getting a cut comb for your stock but I’m even more sorry to hear that Mr. Ducos’ health issues are serious. Again, my best wishes to him for a full and speedy recovery.

My mother used to fly into a rage and then start in with a belt. The only times she ever got dad involved; it was a psyop. She'd get him all worked up and launch him at me, just to "save" me from him at the last minute.

I forget how old I was, but one time when she was swinging the belt I just locked eyes with her and stared hard. She finally asked me why I wasn't crying. I told her that if I loved her, I probably would be.

I don't know how I knew that would hurt her, but it damn sure did.

As a postscript: Neither I or my brother or sister ever had kids. That's how we broke the cycle.
