Rifle Scopes Zeiss S5 vs the Zero Comp optics quality

So true. I owned a Vortex AMG once, and I utterly despised its mil reticle but had convinced myself that I had liked it on paper. Yeesh.

But I love their somewhat similar EBR-2C/2D variants. Go figure.

Shit, forgot to mention the MSR2 in the S&B. Growing on me, on paper at least. That could be one of the few non-tree rets that provide enough holds (exactly one! 1 mil down, 1 mil wind) to cover 80% of my shooting.
I have the MSR 2 in my Steiner. Its very good. As for non tree reticles, I was really liking the P5FL in the Schmidts. But now that Schmidt has gone insane with their pricing again, im no longer interested.

Comparing the features and reticle though, I see the Schmidt as a downgrade from the S5.

BC Correction

Thank you, that's a bunch of useful information.

The sky screens are not really an option at the shooting locations I have available.

I'm past trying to find BCs as an eternal truth for all ranges for each gun. I'm after shot to shot BC variations and how they change with barrel wear or chamber configurations. Calculating differences and differences of differences only amplifies noise. What I'm doing now gives useful insights but has limitations.

I'll look into the System 89 again.

Pope Death Watch... WITH A PRIZE!!! Quart of Maple Syrup to the winner!

None of those show me how there can be three co-equal, co-eternal, co-existent gods that make up one deity? How can one God have all power but share it equally with two others? How can Jesus pre exist (as trinitarians believe) and still be born of a virgin? “I am God, and beside me there is no other.” Sounds pretty clear to me. He said that no man can see him and live, and He had to fulfill the law and the covenant so made a human body that he put on like a robe and walked this earth for 33 years and died to redeem us from our transgressions. We could get into the discussion on if Jesus could have sinned. I bet that would get entertaining.
Well your first sentence shows you do not understand the trinity. The doctrine of the trinity does not say there are three gods. There is one divine nature God, in three co-equal, co-eternal persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. These three persons share one essence or nature, but are distinct in their roles and relationships.

These roles and relationships are what we see directly in the scriptures.

The Father Initiates and directs the plan of salvation, sends the Son and the Holy Spirit, is the source of all things

The Son (Jesus) becomes incarnate and redeems humanity through his life, death, and resurrection, is the Word of God and the means by which creation was made, and Intercedes for humanity.

The Holy Spirit empowers believers to live according to God's will, convicts, teaches, and leads, and sanctifies and dwells within believers.

Additionally in the scriptures we see each person of the trinity is individually given the honors, attributes, names, deeds and seat of God.

Now we as limited humans do not fully understand how this works. We in no way could fully understand how the inner workings of the eternal relationship of the God head. It is rather arrogant to assume that you could fully understand God in that way. There is no logical contradiction that exists and we see the tenants of the Trinity in scripture, so we embrace the mystery.

Now to Jesus. He is the eternal Son who is fully divine. During the incarnation he took on human nature. He is now both fully God and fully man in one person without confusion or separation. This is called Chalcedonian Christology or the hydrostatic union. Without his fully divine nature he could not have lived a sinless life. Without his fully human nature he could not have been our representative, the new Adam, that atoned for all man kind.

WHY????? Mag feed vs. Hand feed

I have an AR15 (Colt) that would shoot to one POI when feeding rds from the left side of the mag and another POI when feeding from the right side. Someone on another forum suggested that I remove the ejector and round off the sharp edges of the ejector face. This did indeed help a lot with my problem and I now do this to all of my ejectors if they are not already rounded. The theory is that when feeding from the right side of the mag, the ejector's sharp edges were providing more resistance when the case head slides up the bolt face during feeding. This would result in the BCG settling in a slightly different position relative to the round and chamber. Allegedly. True or not, the problem pretty much went away when I rounded the ejector.
I round mine by chucking the ejector into a drill and holding the ejector at an angle against an old "carborundum" sharpening stone while spinning it with the drill. All it takes is to round off the sharp edge.
Since that time (early 2000's) I've seen pictures of high end bolts with with the ejector face being completely hemispherical.

Official (DTA) SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Thread

I wish I had the time to put some of my bag riders together, and make them available to you guys. Work has been too busy, and I have had my own side projects keeping me from doing anything else. I have a young friend that I wanted to get into F-open match's with using my SRS. Too much to do, and too little time.

Night Vision Bare minimum Thermal scope and mono recommendation

Old post, but simple answer. Spend as much or as little as you’d like, but get anything that has a QD mount. Then you only need one device. Put a reference point on your rail to snap the scope back on when you’re ready to shoot. I would never own a monocular, kind of an antiquated tool when quality QD thermal mounts exist.
