Any mountain bikers out there 2.0

I’m pretty sure shifting under load has been worked out by this version

And your list of consumables per year is exactly why I’m looking at this. Even doing my own work that stuff adds up to the cost of a gearbox pretty quick. The Gates belts last essentially forever and the only maintenance the Pinion needs is an oil change every 10,000 miles

I’m not a cross country rider tracking weight by the gram so the weight isn’t that relevant. It’s also on the lowest, most central part of the bike where it will be less noticeable

I’ve actually built this already in my head. The bike clanging around my noggin is one of the unbranded Chiner titanium hardtail frames with some sort of mid-grade build. Then trickle in various carbon fiber and titanium pieces/hardware as funds allow
I wish there was another way to do the chain drive train other than having a derailleur hanging down but it is what it is. I managed to bend the derailleur on two of my bikes. The bike shop just bent them back but the shifting is barely acceptable on one of them. It's kind of a back up ebike(the old Bakcou Storm) so I left it alone not wanting to dump money into it. I basically only use it nowadays for getting firewood back in the FS via the trailer I have for it.

Suppose also until they refine a transmission better than Pinion is now I'll stay with old conventional drivetrain. Though it would be neat to have a transmission that was smooth and seamless between all the gears.

Are CVT transmissions being developed more> saw a video about a prototype one time??

I'm not super happy with my GX Eagle because the shifting is delayed slightly and when it's cold out it gets more sluggish or a shift is ignored like the signal didn't arrive so I have to push the shift button again. The battery on my ebike supplies the power to the GX motor so I don't need to be concerned there, however I changed the battery on the shift controller which didn't help much(a little better) at the time last winter. That same controller battery is still in my bike and the shifting is fine now because it's summer time.

When I see things like this, I'm certain we need another civil war. It's beyond time to eliminate these folks.

Let's also bear in mind, these people are in fact celebrating and cheering for the death of over 2 dozen children.

Make no mistake, these are the same people who champion abortion rights; they hate children……..right up until they use “it’s for the children” to claim we shouldn’t have the right to bear arms or to restrict our freedoms in other ways. Demented minds apart from God.

Better glass than XTR pro around 2k used???

To clarify your comment, you put the Pro 3rd because of the glass quality or because of the reticle darkness or lack there of? Or reticle design?

From the comments so far it’s sounds like to get a large improvement im going to have to buy ZCO/TT. And the improvements by going to Razor/ATACR are minor but would then have to learn different reticles from my other rifles or switch all of them. Sounding like best bet is look for another Pro.

Both. And if going on a .22 like you said the amount of elevation will come into play also.

And you don’t have to learn reticles. They are right there telling you what they are.

Long range build advice

Yessir. I’m not married to the 300NM. Just based on my own research, I have narrowed in. If you were shooting 1500-1mile, what would you run? At some point, I would hand load….yes. But off shelf ammo to start

Off the shelf ammo I would go 300PRC or the 7PRC mentioned above. If you are serious about those ranges though then you definitely should load as you can change bullets and powder to tweak a good load.

Also don’t go short on the barrel. I would be looking at a minimum of 28” for a big magnum and wanting to do what you want.

There’s nothing to disagree with here. Do those facts bother you?
Sir, they aren't facts, they are your opinion, and of course I disagree. By the way, how is Africa doing in this post apartheid period?

It was the best period of prosperity they ever experienced. Many of the older Africans in the countries that drove out the white people now sit around in squalor and say openly that it was the worst thing that could have happened to them. As far as the Nazis, Christianity played no part there. They were heavily involved in the occult and magic and a whole bunch of other religious perversion. I really don't want to spend the rest of the day showing you how wrong you are. That's why I tried to avoid taking this any further.

Christians were the engine that drove Nazism and Christians were the engine that drove the Apartheid regime in South Africa for 48 years.

People who believe things without evidence are easy to manipulate and control.
I'll bet you and I would disagree about many things. I'll just leave it at that.

Razor Gen III and S3 would be my choices of a step up from the Pro and I have had all three and used them in matches. The Pro wasn’t bad but the reticle was a big turn off for me being not overly dark and blending more so not a good contrast. Glass wasn’t bad but between the Pro and the other two the pro would always be third place for me.

More of a generic term. The guns I shoot now are ”off the shelf”.

Well I’d stop using it if you are looking at a magnum as it will cause all sorts of confusion.

1250 yards is simple for a Creedmoor and even a mile is doable but if you want to do it regularly and have no problem with magnums then go that route for sure. A 300PRC would do it and allow some factory ammo options if you wanted them. You plan to hand load right?
