Maggie’s Funny & awesome pics, vids and memes thread (work safe, no nudity)

2016, Michigan Sheriff gets out of his car and Sig P320 goes boom. It happens at about the 1:20 mark. His jacket is in the car, as are his keys, there is a a Conservation Officer witness too. The Deputy has one hand on the steering wheel and one on the door before the shot.

Some new information on what could also be part of the cause:

Apparently if you reassemble after field stripping and put the slide on with the takedown lever not rotated down it puts the sear on a sort of skinny engagement with the striker.

So you reassemble after a cleaning, put the slide on (takedown lever up) and rack the slide….sear is barely holding the striker. The takedown engages the sear because “OMG we can’t have people pull the trigger to field strip that might have a UD” and it pushes the sear when rotated down. So you put your newly cleaned P320 in your holster, and later the slide moves a little, releases the striker and you have a hole in your car seat if lucky or your leg if you’re not.

Is that anything like crashing your car because you selected D rather than R?

Police Appreciation Thread

Watch the video in the link. They say nothing about restitution for the innocent people they screwed over. I've read other articles and watched a couple other videos of the story. Nothing was done to the officers that were "just doing as they were told" and violating civil rights.
The wife of this POS claims she's a victim of the lvpd and not her fucked up husband that put hidden camera in their bathroom and was watching videos of his daughter and her

Rifle Scopes LPVO or Red dot/magnifier for SBR

Eventually I may get on board with a magnifier, I'm still personally not sold on an lpvo on my sbr. Still running just the T2 out to 400 and under without any real desire for added magnification, but that's just me.

This summer I've been doing a lot of 1x shooting so speak to 300 and beyond with both my sbr and with the ribz setup and elevation drum on my 16" with a2 sights out to 500, on 2/3 ipsc steel at my club it is effective and very gratifying.

Get ready for the Cartels to step up their game,...

Cartels aren’t stupid. They’ll take a few token lumps and lay low until The Don is gone. They can afford it.
If the cartels push back, The Don will wipe them out and the people will be happy about it.
I listened to some reporter interviewing one of them. That's exactly what they said. Summing up what the guy said, it's only four years, and we've got plenty of money, we're just going to wait it out.
Read somewhere that 1 out of 5 people in Mexico work for the cartels, so taking them out won't be easy , going to be a long long fucking costly operation.
There's probably close to that on our side of the fence in certain locale. I've worked with several in my time in construction along the gulf coast that were involved with cartels. We had a qc with my company that wasn't even shy about it. Supposedly there's a book written about the cartels operations within dow chemical in the Freeport Tx area but I can't remember what it was called.
Nuke it from orbit. Easy peezy.

20 MOA Base for 450 Bushmaster Subsonic

At 300 yards I am calculating 875 FPS & 671 Ft-Lbs of energy. This is for a 395 gr. Sub-X bullet leaving the muzzle at 1050 FPS. Although under the 1000 Ft-Lbs threshhold that many use for deer sized game, think it should be enough for a bullet starting out at .452 and expanding from there. As much energy as what a 44 mag would be hitting at a ranges less than 100 yards which has proven to be effective on deer.

The scope will be fine for travel - it is a Vortex 2-10 PST FFP.
Then you answered your own question for the base. lol

6mm vs 6.5mm, not quite beating a dead horse.

2900fps seems like where I wanna be for velocity simply looking at ballistics with 6mm compared to 6.5mm. Taking a look at load data from Sierra with the 6mm Creedmoor, 2900 seems like it is towards the upper ends of charge weight and velocity for the 110s. Possibly their data in very conservative. Some of the other cartridges (6gt, dasher, br) seem to be really pushing it to try to get to that 2900 mark. So I guess my question is; is 2900 rippin for a 110 with 6mm Creedmoor or is the data on the conservative side and 2900 is right in that slot of good case fill but not torching the barrel? Would 2900 with the other 6mm still be very achievable without being at the limits of the cases? From some more research its looking like I should be bale to run some of the other 6mm cartridges in my mags without extensive modification. Just want to see if I can get there.

Thanks for everyones help!
2900 is easy with the 6 Creed and a 110. I have 26” barrels on my 6 Creeds and had to download some as factory 108s are at 3010fps.

Zealot Rifle Chassis by KMW

It’s a race between this and the NVision clip on for slowest perfect product to market haha
You have to realize that the consumer market for stocks is not what Terry does. His market is mil/leo orders for perfect sniper rifles. I imagine that he’s plenty busy with his target market.

Thread Adaptor for Suppressor

I just got a Ruger Gunsite in 450 Bushmaster which has a 11/16-25 threaded muzzle. All of my suppressors have a 5/8-24 thread. I am thinking about getting a 11/16 to 5/8 adaptor but am concerned about suppressor alignment. An adaptor would cost $25. Alternatively, if I would get a mount that threads directly to the 1.375-24 threads of the suppressor body (i.e. a PLAN-A Taper mount adaptor for my Griffin Bushwacker 46 suppressor), it will be $85 and I will only be able to use that suppressor on my rifle. I know that alignment will be better and am leaning that way, but just want to get some opinions on the 5/8 to 11/16 thread adaptor option.
