Magpul - 2025 New Maztech X4-FCS & X4-LRF

Your videos are awesome! These included. How is setting wind on the maztech? With and without the remote? The impact is very easy to change wind with the remote but I have a moral opposition to cables and probably wouldn’t run the maztech remote so I’m curious
Very simple to set the wind, I'd say just as easy as the impact 4000. One difference I've noticed though, the Impact 4000 remembers wind direction on the compass as the unit rotates. Doesn't seem like that's case for the Maztech so you'll have to remember to make adjustments as conditions change.

I can't speak to the performance of the remote as I don't use them.

Another Parker Hale Suppressor

Cheers for the idea. I'll try it.
My BIL who is a welder said it's rather carcinogenic, works well but don't breath it in when applying.

Will pick up a new suppressor at some stage, keen to try both the weld splatter spray and ultrasonic cleaner.

I think ill try weighing the suppressors too as a guide as to when to clean.

My current barrel has been nothing but H4350 and 140gr ELDMs. Barrel slowed down a bit from 2800 to about 2750. The other week I did a quick work up on RL16 was hitting around 2845 FPS and not even pushing it that hard. I'm almost positive you can fill it up to the top, slam a 140gr bullet in there and not get pressure with RL16. I'm trying to use up my H4350 then I might dig into my RL16 stockpile. It doesn't come around often and now it's crazy expensive.
I just opened my last 8 lb container of rl16 today. Like you, I was getting close to 2,850 in a 24" AI without reaching book max.

I use Berger 140 grain hybrids and Lapua brass, I've had the best results between 2,770 and 2,800. Going to finish tweaking this load tomorrow, this new lot is a little bit faster than the old lot.

The "New" Barrett MRAD Thread!!!!!!

Only 100 rds but flawless so far. I shot from the tripod quite a bit today and didn't see any zero shift. This rifle flat hammers.

Does Barrett make their own barrel blanks?
I've tested with different bipod locations and a tripod and haven't seen a zero shift either. I still need to test with a bag on a barricade but I can't imagine that's a whole lot different than what I've already done.

I use a lot of rl16 and h4350 with 6.5 cm. The velocity thing is definitely true, however, I also find rl16 to be less temperature sensitive. However, both are great in this department.

H4350 is definitely cleaner than rl16. I get similar accuracy with both using 140s.

Ukraine war Bullshit.

The only way either side could ever be worse tacticians than they are would be by abandoning the most strategic airbase in Asia along with $2 billion in equipment to a group of homosexual goat fuckers.

We cannot confirm or deny the sexual preferences of said goats.

I'm inclined to think the goats were held in the goat brothels against thier free will.

25cm or 6cm

I went through this same mental battle recently for a dedicated critter rig. Went with 6CM because of the flatter 0-300 trajectory and lower recoil. An added benefit was that I already had dies for it from another 6CM barrel, but that wasn't a deciding factor.

You're also talking only .014 diameter and ~25 grains of bullet weight difference too. Put the correct bullet where it needs to be and you'll see no appreciable difference in killing.

Tinnitus treatment

Hearing aids have dramatically reduced my tinnitus by at least a third if not more however that’s while wearing them. As soon as I get up and put the hearing aids on, I can hear the ringing drop within minutes and stays away all day if I’m wearing them.

Hearing aids have also helped with Hyperacusis as well.
Interesting, that just made me realize that I dont notice the tinnitus when Im wearing my Axil earbuds. If youre not familiar with them, you should be. Great for shooting.

Customer Accuracy Expectations

I hate to tell some people this but I have to. Just because your gun shoots a 0.4" group at 50 yds does NOT mean it will shoot a 0.8" group at 100yds. I wish people would STOP saying this.

I have a center fire that shoots consistent 5 rd groups of 0.25"at 100yds. But it has NEVER shot a 0.5" or even a 0.75" group at 200yds. It just does not work that way. I have yet to see in person someone that can do it like everyone says it happens.

Is Campi Flagrei about to cook off?

don't wish such on anyone but if it happens the response is obvious. the NGOs and deep state will pour in millions of funds we don't have. of course after passing the $s thru their pockets. it's done all the time and in Europe? big $s in corrupted relief. we all know that foreign relief efforts are more important than w.coast FL,NC or Maui.
Or homeless Americans because of Joe, or homeless, PTSD vets, or funding Medicare, or balancing the budget, or..................

RL16 is more temp insensitive then H4350. I prefer it over H4350 or just about any powder for the 6.5CM. Plus you get a speed boost with it over H4350. 100+ FPS is not uncommon when comparing the 2 loads at full boogie loads.
