Ukraine war Bullshit.

Many people take Russia's lack of response to date as weakness, that is an assumption that may come back and haunt them. Much like many times in real life, where everyone thought someone was a weak coward, until one day they had enough and shocked everyone with their ability. Even the weakest dog will bite, if you push it far enough.

Dramatic platitudes make for colorful cope, but it's still cope.

talk me outta a MOA scope….😳

i know, i know…im not a guy w a bunch of high end optics, have made due over a few decades(yea older guy w 4 grandkids approaching retirement) using mostly super snipers, first the original 10x MIL/MOA versions, then added a couple MIL/Mil ones. grabbed a PH 3-15 many years ago as my lone alpha scope. been doin rimfire comps, and some LR steel shooting w the same scopes ive had forever it seems. Im one scpoe short, for a 300WSM thats been on the back burner for ages, but ive finally been working with and getting some decent results.

anyways i walk into a shop today and see they still have a Tangent Theta 3-15 professional MOA thats been there for over a year, but theyve dropped the price to 2500, could probably get it out the door for closer to 2k cash….tempting, but i gotta admit i feel slightly disadvantaged when i pick up one of my rifles still topped off w a MOA super sniper.

thoughts? all appreciated

I like an moa scope for hunting, I run a couple. not sure why. i'd get it, but if you'd prefer a mil, i know a guy :)

Smarter Than You

You wouldn't believe the amount of power that goes into just running chillers. All those servers create massive amounts of heat that has to be dealt with...

If something happens to those pipes moving chilled water through the system... Things get dicey (and expensive) really quick.

Yep. You should see the massive "ponds" they've built around the site. They're currently still dry, but my first thought on seeing them was they're planning on having to do a LOT of cooling. Operational date is probably still a long way off, but it is a HUGE construction project, and running full-tilt every day.

Smarter Than You

Region is going to have a lot to do with it also. I'm my region they're not building data centers.
They weren't here either, until they were. This is rural Alabama, and until Meta showed up, their "site" was several hundred acres of pasture filled with cattle. Same for the Hyundai plant across the road, but they've been there 20 years now.

lol.. I just asked this question in the bolt action forum and the results are interesting. I keep mine zeroed at 600yds but they are benchrest rifles mostly.

PVS-4 focus grabby- frustrated

For butter smooth operation and to conform to the OEM and NVESD, use Krytox 240AZ. The only semi-official alternative would be Dow 33 but I'd pick up a tube of 240AZ, it's the only lubricant I use for NV systems. Some use automotive dielectric silicon or food grade silicon, not recommended since it migrates quite readily. Definitely remove the lithium grease, better to use migration prone silicon than lithium. As with the PVS-4, 240AZ is to be used for all lubricated o-rings/preformed packing of 14's, ANVIS etc...

Staball match in 223

I have not been able to get enough powder into a case when using 77gr TMK's but have had some very promising test results with 73gr ELD-M projectiles. My testing was for an AR15 so I think Staball Match might work well for you as you are going to have a bit more room in the case due to loading longer than 2.255 for your bolt gun. When I can't find load data I have had good luck using Varget charge weights.
