M40A1 repo mounts and rings

He got a price on these yet?
I don't remember exactly where he thought it was going to be at... I want to say low $100ish dollars.

I just sent him a message asking him if he's got a solid price. I'll update this when I hear from him. I probably won't be able to update till later tonight though.

I have a ammo maker here in 10 minutes a zoom meeting at 11am and another zoom meeting later today.

Stay tuned....

Check Yourself

I'll be 65 next month. Due to health insurance when I was working, I've had PSA screening yearly for the past 15 years or so, and continue to have it checked now that I'm retired.

It amazes me that many of the men my age that I talk to have NEVER had their PSA checked. I can't believe in this day age that their doctors do not include this as part of the yearly wellness check.

Colonoscopy every 5 years for me (again next year) due to my mother had colon cancer.

The riskiness of free will

How do parents fire anyone in a public school with the protection of the teachers union?
By actually doing something other than Jacking off to their fantasy football and what ever other retarded reality show bullshit people are into now. And I don't mean cry and bitch online or even going to cry to these woke bastards. They prefer that they are making you mad. They have zero empathy for your position because they are psychopaths.

Run for school board. Be a teacher, be a principle, be a superintendent, or one of the many other people that support schools and interact with students. Or keep leaving it someone else....

"The teachers union." 🤣🤣🤣 It's always "the teachers union." Allowing the the actual "teachers union" that does something to operate with relative anonymity. There are hundreds of teachers unions. All teachers are not represented by one union, and many teachers are represented by no teachers union.

Euro Optic shipping procedures SUUUUCK!

This is why you gotta work from home buddy :p
Fuuuck. I also can’t count the number of times I’ve seen “delivery attempted. No one home” on the the delivery status. The fuck it was. I was here all day, working…

I don’t remember exactly when all of the shippers just started leaving packages at the door, delivery instructions be damned. But, back when they left those little stickies on the door, once a delivery attempt was made, I would log on to their site and change the instructions to “hold at hub.” That was more convenient than playing “will they, won’t they” with the delivery drivers.

And, back when I worked at a HQ building, I had a few things shipped there.

But, be careful with that. I had a friend that was forced to fire an employee b/c he had several hundred lbs of ammunition shipped to his office address. As I recall, the ammunition wasn’t there issue. The weight of the shipment was.

Euro Optic shipping procedures SUUUUCK!

Hate to say this but Amazon is the only reliable delivery service out there. It will put the others out of business if it ever decides to become a general delivery service (not just for Amazon). They use GPS to pin point where a package needs to go and the exact drop off location.

Fedex leaves packages anywhere. Then they investigate and show a grainy picture that it was delivered --except clearly not to my front steps. They've lost ~$4500 worth of gear this year alone. I (my vendors) have gotten good at filing claims. I eventually get my items at no further cost to me or the vendor. It pays to use vendors with good CS reputations. I pay extra to not ship via FedEx if it is an option.

UPS--better than FedEx but still random with respect to delivery dates. But, they have a habit of leaving the package at the mailbox in the street rather than at the garage. (Package theft for $100 Alex.) So much for instructions in my UPS profile. The driveway is a quarter mile long. My assumption--lazy drivers.

USPS-It is actually a drinking game - follow the tracking and try to predict the next destination in the route and when it might actually get delivered. Package is "Moving Through Network" for $200 Alex.

As for companies wanting to upcharge to guarantee delivery--work it into your pricing. Otherwise, it comes across as a scam like those extended warranty options. I've stopped shopping at companies that upcharge. I am not sure how a failed delivery would work with my credit card. I would just contest the charge, no???

I recently ordered something from Eurooptic through Walmart. I didn't realize I was doing that at the time. Same price but Walmart shipping protection without the Eurooptic upcharge. It was shipped from EO directly. I imagine that Walmart gets a cut of the purchase price. I wonder if that costs EO more than the shipping upcharge??

PRS Talk Having to shoot off approx a 40deg post…. Suggestions other than sticky bag…

No reason to shoot support side no matter which way the rails lean….or ever unless the COF says you have to.
Depends on what the MD is looking to do I guess. Sometimes the mental gymnastics to avoid something are more problematic than actually doing something that makes you slightly uncomfortable. Support side feels weird for me but my results are not as bad as I expect.

New build for Night Vision

On my night rifles I have;
5.56 11" SBR, Aimpoint T1 in a Unity mount, MAWL
5.56 12.5" SBR, MRO in a Geissele mount, MAWL
5.56 11.5" SBR, EXPS3.0 and EOTech magnifier, Holosun Iris3
300 BO 9" SBR, XPS3.0 and magnifier in a Unity Riser and FTC mount, DBAL I2

The EOTech is BY FAR the best option with NODs. No question. The T1 is usable but the tube is so small it is annoying. The MRO isn't awful with the tall mount, actually better than the T1 for me. The tall mounts really do make a huge difference when trying to get behind the optic with the tube. I actually used to use a Larue RISER on the stock for better aiming during the day with the tall mounts, but trying to get behind the optic with the NOD was terrible.

One of these days I'll move the other 2 rifles to an EOTech as it is truly by far the best option. Getting away from the RISER helped on the MRO and T1 but I honestly didn't even realize how bad it was until taking a TNVC level 1 class. After that first night, those things came off. I am taking their level 2 class in September, I am sure more things will change after that.
