Starting to lean towards this. I like the 10mm round, and the ported barrel would help with the muzzle flip issue.
Updated recently in the not gonna buff out thread. 3 more weeks non weight bearing then physical therapy can start. In an aircast boot now. They get so big in like 2 days, it is hard to catch em before they're too ginormous. I give em to the chickens when they get bigger than I like.
How is the leg bro?
I've had similar bolt lift problems on rifles with the XC but the same problems happen with other cans too, sico Scythe ti for one. Seemed especially prevalent in MN winter months shooting into a headwind.
Happened with a variety of different loads including moderate factory ammo.
I cut mine by more than half and started using an old ATv3 tube with the valve as well. You really do get used to emptying the powder after a while.I’m hoping! I also cut the powder tube in half. It was way too long.
Honestly, based on my experience, I would be surprised if the box wasn’t yeeted from the truck as he careened down the street. So you are saying I could get lucky and the guy might just leave it with no signature. We shall see; I’ll report back if he does.
I can’t count how many packages I’ve had shipped “signature required.” I only remember signing for one. It was a few bottles of wine, and recently. I was legitimately surprised when the guy put the signature pad in my hand.
4.28 lbs per their spec sheetHow heavy are these chassis?
So you’re not willing to roll the dice and have it delivered with no signature, but they suck because they take preventative measures to reduce fraud and theft?
Got it.
I can't comment about switches and stuff. Whatever NV gear I've used was borrowed and have only really shot passively.Actually I was forced to use an Eotech on my patrol carbine. I think for that reason (and the hate they were getting at the time) I switched to red dots. It was an EXPS2 anyway so it wouldn’t work with night vision.
I greatly appreciate you bringing this up. After several hours of research the consensus is pretty clear. The MRO is garbage for night vision. Looks like I’ll be getting the EXPS3 and a Unity riser in FDE. I’ll wait on the magnifier and unity tactical mount in FDE. That’s another $750. I need to get some use out of this Geissele mount lol. The PVS31 binos are like 13k and the D2 is a little over $1200. I blew 4k last week between a scope and 2 suppressors so I need to settle.
It also looks like people are saying to stay away from remote switches with the D2 and instead use the rear mount button. So I now know I need to mount the light on the right side and I’ll use a a Unity Axon for that. Sucks that I tossed the box for the Geissele mount. That was expensive. At least I won’t be making any more mistakes! So thank you! It looks pretty cool now (muzzle device inbound with suppressor) and the finish looks weird in the pic due to all the oil seaping out. It came out really well.View attachment 8733116
What's with these crotch crows?
