In addition to flooding Houston with the ‘refugees’ from New Orleans several years ago, we’ve literally been overrun with people fleeing CA and other leftist states, including Colorado, and it’s starting to show. In my experience, most of ‘em actually consider themselves to be a “conservative” but they’re still farther left than most of us already here.

Add in all the illegals and we’re literally outnumbered. Hot wheels needs to get serious about deporting, not just restarting the wall.

But where do I go from here?

Maybe Florida? Or do I stay here and try to make a difference… This may wind up being my Alamo.
we are barely hanging on here in FL. my fear is that the escapees from midwest,NE,gr lakes etc will bury us like they did CO. the majority of counties are red but the cities have vastly larger pops and they are mostly as lt as NYC. the story will be told when DeSantis is termed out. we will see then. the girls from FL are not doing much in DC except deep state Kabuki theater. we have plenty of corrupt pols here, usually concentrated in those cities.

What's the deal with "Aid to Ukraine?"

Ваня, ветка то про Украину , а твой тупой партнер завалил ее обсуждая Хуйло и кацапов.
Премии не получит.

It seems that you are a troll, since you do not remember that I already told you that I participated in this war.
In the thread that the moderator cut down. Didn't your nickname partner give you the info?
Also, because you don't answer uncomfortable questions, it's deducted immediately.
I'm even starting to believe that your avatar is a real photo.

No one likes a quitter. Get your sorry ass back to defending your country. You claim that the Russians are a bunch of pussies and are losing. So why don't you get back to the front and finish them off?

MARS Zeroing

View attachment 8671290Here’s a target you can use for the HOB technique. It’s what we recommend. That way you don’t have to worry about a divergence at distance past you converging point. That being said, if you converge at a distance close to you maximum engagement distances. Than it’s not a problem.

Also we have a whole online course covering these services and other rangefinder, how to zero, and employ them. Laser Rangefinder Employment Course
Thank you, Chris. I might get some time to do that one day.

300 yard consistency

I did a large test awhile back. Shot 6 five shot groups at each setting. Did a total of 2 revs plus no tuner. Used an app to find the X,Y of each shot and input them in excel for a 30rd agg group. Each setting/group was also randomly fired. Calculated the mean radius for each setting. Also ran a P test against each setting. Even picked the “best” and “worst” setting and reshot the test on different day. Concluded they don’t work….. this was on a DI vudoo with a MW barrel using center X. I followed Reloading all day’s protocol, which if I remember right is similar to what applied ballistics did.
You did not say how far you were shoot, and the size of your groups. And how you concluded they don't work. By only going 2 revs, you left out a lot area for tuning. You did not go far enough. A Harrell tuner has 500 settings 25/ rev, total of 20 revs. A EC V2 tuner has 200 setting 50/rev. total of 4 revs. The Harrells are made to start all the way into the shooter and go out. I have seen the best tune all the way out to 500. The EC V2 starts flush with muzzle and go into the shooter. I have found the best tunes 3 to 4 revs in. with 2 of my guns. My Tikka T1x is 10 off full into the shooter almost 4 revs in.

I start tuning a 50yds with 3 shot groups ( any more is a waste of ammo for now ) With the EC V2 tuner a turn 5 marks and repeat all the way in ( with Harrell I go one full rev ( 25 clicks ) You will see the group open and close, you are looking for the best vertical. you may see many in a row that are good. Then you can go back to the best of the best and shoot as many rounds as you like. I shoot long range, I take the best of the best to 200yds ( you need a good wind day ). This is where you can take a 4" vertical and fine tune 1 to 2 marks at a time each way for 10 marks and get a 1" group. You can call BS, but I have done it many times. That is the only test I can tell you. You can fine tune and take a group with vertical a turn it onto a round group.

Bartlein Barrels Update

Are some CEO's or C suite guys and gals rock stars who deserve the pay based on what they bring to the shareholders, customers, and employees? Yep for sure, and they are worth every damn penny whether they work 100 hours a week, or 30 minutes in between holes of golf.

Is every CEO or C suite dweller a rock star though? Nope. There are plenty of complete shitters who do a mediocre job at best, and a bad job at worst. In fact probably more turds than real performers out there. The methods of these turds are pretty easy to identify. Lacking the skills and vision to innovate, or even refine existing business operations to grow the business and better serve all parties involved; the turd CEO and C suite commonly resort to the low hanging fruit of cost cutting at the expense of everyone but themselves and their bonus to make PE ratios or operating ratios look pretty so the stock price goes up in the near term so they can pump and dump it on their way out the door. A really good recent example of this is any recent Class 1 RR CEO, or the last CEO of Stellantis (or whatever they're called this week).

It baffles me that corporate boards of directors don't do a better job of structuring CEO compensation that is more restrictive of things like exercising stock options. I wonder if better results would be had if some of these clowns were forced to sit on any stock they receive as compensation or bonus for say 10-15 even 20 years? Make them take a long term view of the health and financial position of the company they are leading, and force them to carefully consider the long term consequences of their decisions.
Bingo on the first paragraph.

For the second question paragraph, the reason the boards allow this is because everybody is inside trading and only once every 10-20 years is there a stooge/goat chosen to put away in a country club prison for a bit to keep the peasants from rebelling.

😁

Former endeavors that used to give joy and are fleeting now...

quite drinking about 6 years ago. was turning from a hobby into a habit,so..played contract bridge a lot for about 5-6 years. stopped via covid when the formal clubs required the vax to play. sold all my offshore tackle so i couldn't go back to it. was getting way too expensive @ around $500/day in total. my HG level got pretty high too. still shoot frequently but not really hot for it anymore. may not continue after range membership runs out. been doing all 3 types almost 70 yr so...will keep enough stuff for personal protection but doubt long term survivability in a real SHTF social collapse.
