What cars you fools have?

What are you doing to your Raptor? I'm blessed to live in the Bighorn Mountains and on the curves, I never feel like I need more power in the ND Miata. Just wore out the tires in 12k miles :D My Miata is one of my best investments ever.
Cam phasers went out for the fourth time (!) just after the warranty expired of course…and yes I asked for something from Ford, but at 115K miles, they told me to pound sand. Transmission was going out too so I decided to just pull them and upgrade them while they’re out.

Build thread on FRF here: https://www.fordraptorforum.com/threads/gen-2-scab-makeover…totally-not-ripping-off-geoff’s-2-5-build.105164/

Costing me over $25K even with me doing a lot of the assembly, but I’ll have the fuel and air for almost 800HP, as well as a transmission that will support that power increase, but gonna detune it to ~600HP or so for reliability.

Re: the Miata, My login name here is a takeoff of the one I use on car forums to celebrate my old very highly modified ‘91 BRG:

My racing buddy and I built up and raced (auto-x mostly, but some pro solo) Miatas up through the NC model, but I fell in love with Flyin’ Miata’s Habu project…always loved the idea of a modern day Cobra too. Have been going back and forth with Lawrence at Sarasota Super Sport (he bought the V8 project rights from FM) about doing one myself, but really need to finish the truck and a couple remodeling projects around the House first…gotta keep the accountant/wife happy!

This is my goal, only painted in Mazda’s HU (British Racing Green) and with a V8 running through a 6-speed:

Show yer Peacemakers, folks!

There's also a 45 Auto rim.
It's the same length and same load as a 45 ACP. The brass has a rim.

Not really sure why it exists, but it does.
Wartime production initially. I was told that it was less expensive and saved the spring steel to produce the Auto Rim. True or not 🤷🏼‍♂️

Starline is also producing the 45 Cowboy Special, a 45 A.R. With a 45 Colt rim on it.

@Sandhog308 , which historian wrote the letter?

New 6mm Advanced Rifle Cartridge

Finally got the X-Caliber 13", mlgs lightweight barrel that I ordered back in March in. Going to try a BFK Mod 0 thermal fit upper and reuse a 12.7" Aero handguard I have on this one. Waiting for Rexus Ultra bolts to come back in stock in the next few weeks and should be in business.

Finally got the parts painted up with Alumahyde and put together this weekend, and a Rexus Ultra bolt on the way. I will say the BFK upper was a bit too interference fit with my barrel, even freezing the barrel and lightly torching the receiver threads, the rubber mallet had to put in some work to get the barrel in far enough that I could fully seat it with the barrel nut.
