We will call it a Hybrid DI/Nevius chamber since I cut a modified chamber using Nevius reamer.

Finally got the parts painted up with Alumahyde and put together this weekend, and a Rexus Ultra bolt on the way. I will say the BFK upper was a bit too interference fit with my barrel, even freezing the barrel and lightly torching the receiver threads, the rubber mallet had to put in some work to get the barrel in far enough that I could fully seat it with the barrel nut.

They were at 1400 and I got them down to 950. Offered them 900 for it the other day and they said they couldn't as that was what they had in it..

I thought about the new swfa and was really hoping they got the new 5-25 or whatever variable other than the 3-15 in stock with the new reticle, but no such luck.

What are you doing to your Raptor? I'm blessed to live in the Bighorn Mountains and on the curves, I never feel like I need more power in the ND Miata. Just wore out the tires in 12k miles My Miata is one of my best investments ever.

We were approached in 2020 by 2 different companies to use the 14.5 as a payload round and extended range.

We said Ammo is needed for the distances we were discussing. Besides a weapon system etc

I live in an area dominated by Healthcare professionals. Several Doctors and Nurses, FNPs, etc in my circle are quietly struggling. Elective procedures are down, people avoiding the Doctors office for fear of massive bills they know they can't pay, etc.

When "safe haven" jobs are feeling the pain, you know things are headed South.

Just a reminder, light is your friend. You will get the most performance out of weak eyes when there is plenty of illumination so the rule of the day would be to try it outside on a sunny day.

Split your upper off, yank your BCG and throw your scoped upper across a Fortune cookie of other bags.
Find something small (eyes work exceptionally well with circles) and with good contrast downrange and center it in your bore.
Chase it with your reticle.

Everybody does this all the time even with irons, RDS and scopes going on ARs.

I'm more of a do it myself kind of guy, for better or worse; but if I was to buy a 10/22 for accuracy, it would probably be a Kidd. From what Ive seen, they have no right shooting as well as they do.

It seems that tactical solutions is also doing some interesting stuff. I saw a guy shooting one this past weekend. He was shooting CCI SV at 50, but getting about the best results you could with that ammo.

In reality, probably a lot fewer "hunters" out here than people think or want to believe. Throwing out feed, setting up on bait, etc. is just killing.
Back to helping someone, I think it's mostly in the approach and the recognition on the shooters part that they don't have the solution and it can't hurt. Also, don't be a pest to them either.

I dont even have the rifle yet and I just ordered a kit.

I don't use spotting scopes much, but, for me, the extremely high magnification is more of a problem than it is worth.
With a 20-60, I find myself at 20X (I' not glassing extreme distances though)
I have used that 20-60 on a very decent tripod (manfrotto), it is so sensitive to wind and vibration, it makes it difficult to use (not impossible).
I prefer the lower magnification of a 15-45 or, better yet, an 11-33.
Of course, this is a personal thing and YMMV.

Is that the one inch barrel also? From what I read, this barrel used a Manson reamer for the chamber. Some, they use a PTG reamer whatever that is.
