Which Heavy Duty Truck?

Thanks!

EEK!

I've been faithful using Fuel additives so it'll hopefully help.

If my Cryto investments go up I'll trade this truck in on a new one in 26 hoping that by now they've made higher quality CP4's.

Oh, how much approx OTD is it to have a delete done?
I run hotshots edt in mine, even with dcr pump.
2800ish, if you do labor yourself

Maggie’s Motivational Pic Thread v2.0 - - New Rules - See Post #1

LAKE CITY, ARKANSAS 04/02/2025

One of the strongest and longest track tornadoes on record for the 2025 storm season so far. Spawned from an explosively growing supercell that matured from a clear blue sky anvil with a single downdraft column in just under an hour to a sprawling superstructure where individual features of the storm are too large to be seen from the ground, fueled by convective hot air pouring in from the Gulf. At 6:20PM, a violent rope vortex with a characteristic 'drillbit' base was spotted by ground crew, already spinning at high F3 strength and quickly grew into a several hundred yard diameter wedge with high F3/low F4 rotation. Note the horizontal snake-like subvortices extending out from the wedge like tendrils. The wedge was on the ground for well over half an hour, categorizing it as 'long track' before it gradually vanished and was swallowed up by the RFD behind the mesocyclonic wall. This storm was responsible for a number of injuries around the Lake City area. Footage from StormRunnerMedia.

ETA: The SRM crew's call in to the local sheriff's dept immediately upon visual confirmation of tornado on the ground prompted a proper Tornado Emergency, the accompanying sirens and cell phone alerts to be issued for Lake City, possibly minutes ahead of what would have happened if they waited for Norman OK Severe Storms Center to make the contact. These few minutes definitely saved lives and prevented more people from getting hurt.
That was the one that was trying to spool up over us. We were reporting the rotation as it passed us. NE of us got hammered a few times this spring.

Night Vision Drones: Changing of the Guard

I sent in an evo2 smart controller with weak battery and they swapped it out as a warranty repair and sent in back in a week. Exceeded my expectations. That's my sole autel CS experience in 8 years. I've owned 9.
Have 3 DJIs they work, but much more "nanny". Have to hacque'em to fly without GPS. For Autel its a switch. And Autel has other "un-nanny " settings as well.

Brother, the only reason I got a 2025 Cummins this time was the price…I walked out brand new for $45k after rebates..cheapest I could do on the powerstroke was $65k…if it were for serious use I would’ve considered the ford..but I am just looking to build an adventure wagon and Cummins are just easier to work on for that..plus, I don’t have to completely convert suspension geometry
Cummins is definitely easier to work on, the tappet conversion was first time that I, was like hell with that. Between special tools and the cost of the kit. The dcr conversion wasn't too bad, hardest part was getting intake, in and out, but still only took about 6hrs, and I had never done one before. Once my warranty is out, I will be deleting it.

Wow! I mean WOW! If you are a Texan, READ THIS!

Meh, I didn't read anything blood boiling. He helped a developer, and the developer donated to the campaign.
Not defending it but happens all the time across this country. He is cooperating with ICE deporting illegals in the same neighborhood. If he had steered them away from the area that would be more of an issue.
This.

Wealthy patrons greasing the skids with political donations, and politicians being…well, being politicians, is a story as old as time. Still don’t like it, but nothing new here, just different players.

Term limits and better mechanisms to reduce the grift is the only way forward that I can see.

Any Cancer Experts?

Oncologist screaming? No, hardly. They were pushing the jab as hard as anyone else, and they were the first to see their patients die from it and said nothing.
Yep pushed and pushed my aunt until she took it. Then didn't say a word when her cancer markers went way down after the jab. They knew it was a sign they had killed her, in her opnion.

Badlands "Shell Shock" 5.56 - snake oil?

Muzzle velocity sells ammo but BC gets hits.
That statement reminded me of something. When I was first looking at the 53gr Black Arc ammo, I wondered why they went with the 53gr vs the 55. The bit of research I did showed that the 53gr has the highest BC (that I could find) of any 50ish grain projectile. Arguably speed and BC for its class.

Still... honestly, I just restocked 77 grain ammo for 500+ shooting. I'm limited to 800 yards. I decided to just go with the 77gr winchester contract overrun stuff. It's a little slow, but its loaded with Barnes Matchburners and is pretty consistent. I'm just shooting at steel anyway. At .70 a round, its a bit easier to stomach.

Which Heavy Duty Truck?

My wife’s daily driver 2022 6.7 powerstroke had a cp4 failure at 20,000 miles..it wasn’t disastrous but it was a fight to get ford to fix it under warranty..I have a friend at that dealership who told me it was common to deny CP4 warranties for literally any reason so I just picked up a DCR conversion and he did that for me..then we fully deleted it.

The problem is if you wait for it to go you could be $12k-$18k out of pocket fixing it even if it’s still under warranty..those metal shavings will go all through the fuel system.

CP4’s are not trash..but the are made for high sulfur European diesel..we have LOW SULFUR DIESEL in the United States..the lubricity isn’t there for the CP4 gears..now, have put over 400,000 miles on a 6.7 powerstroke with a cp4…but it was fully deleted and I used archoil in every fill up..diesel fuel additives will greatly extended the life of a cp4
Thanks!

That's why I sold my 2020 cummins, lifters started ticking, it's the 6th cummins I have had, but I won't be going back unless they go back to tappets or a better lifter design. Went to a powerstroke, and love it so far, I did swap out the cp4, to a dcr pump.View attachment 8671005

I have a 23 F250 with the HO 6.7 and have a question assuming you probably know.. What's better, to delete the CP4 sooner or wait until it fails then go to a dcr/cp3?
I only have low 8000 miles on the truck and in May of 26 the warranty is up.
