Yeah for that no way I would go magnum. Just get a good 28” barrel in contour you like and a 7.5 or 8 twist. Will do what you need.

I just always thought of them as a physical bot - like a prop in a story to add emphasis. I assumed they were by the hour or the gig and had a handler who always had wink a nod from the insidious on the inside. Remember when they showed up in Idaho, were detained in cuffs - but no one ever saw their face? Horseshit, when they're cuffed and on their knees, their face covering comes off - Who are you and what are you doing here? some how, those guys got walked out the back door.

Exactly this. I’ll find 200 guys, deputize us, give me some equipment we will either support the NG or go alone, either way, I’d have it wrapped up with a quickness. Want it done across the country? Say no more, I have a plan. The fact it’s allowed to have gotten this far is a bit telling imo.

Subsonic .223 loads

I've played with pistol powders in 223. It's some interesting stuff. The 55gr Clays load that Hodgdon published stabilized in longer barrels but tumbled in my 14" Contender (1:12 twist).

I haven't played with heavy bullets but found this when researching it.

I disagree with your comments about the muzzle brake. He has not said what caliber nor his shooting history. We each also tolerate recoil differently. My son who climbs mountains, works out like crazy, finds the un-Braked recoil of a 6.5 Creedmoor excessive. He does need to time the brake though!
