Not everyone has money for a custom build. So many people buy just factory rifle to shoot
If money is an issue and you don’t shoot a lot, but are dedicated to Remington and no other brand, look for a older 5r in 308 on gunbroker or here
Another option is an older 40x or 40xb range from 1200-2000 on average.
Barrel will last you forever and depending on skill level and ammo you can hit 600-1000m

Resale value will stay about the same, but finding a buyer with so many “better” options these days will be harder.

But a lot of us older guys remember when Remington was a good go to out the box rifle.
I have no experience with current builds minus a 2010, so I can’t comment on newer productions

You forget that these are "one people" and as Ukies can find persons capable of assembling drones in Russia, Russia has insiders on every location in Ukraine. But Russia does not use its human resources and insiders for pointless actions that does nothing meaningful. They get info where stuff is put and then when times comes it gets hit. Also Russia will not hit its own territory with nuke if nukes fly they will go west and bring reality to pussies in EU.
