My next “kit” from them will be combining two of their Hindenburg kits to make a British R31 post ww1 airship. No one makes a kit of the R31. But the “math” works that you can combine the center frames of two Hindenburgs to stretch it and end up with a R32 that is almost 4 feet long!!!


I have the two kits and a plan drawn up… but it will wait until “air conditioning” weather in summer when farm work is done!

You're off to a good start and giving it some forethought....

If it were me, I'd bolt on some bench extensions to the back of your bench that would fill in the gaps around the column and increase the bench surface area... I'd keep any shelving higher up off the bench. Definitely agree with the GOOD lighting!

It will eventually change over time as you find what works for you, so don't get too deep before you figure out what works best for you and your processes....

So I did some more planned work on the 4Runner.

New lower ball joints, genuine Toyota (anything else is peeing into the wind)





Took the faux beadlock bolts out of the wheels, drilled the holes smooth and sanded , sanded, sanded. They are beat up pretty good but are acceptable now. New dark bronze metallic paint and matte clear simulate the color of the newer TRD wheels I see sometimes. Look great from 10’

I can't use a dope card or bubble level with these lenses, but my distance vision is perfect. I can and have spotted coyotes at well over 1000yds since during the day, had to work on my shotgun mechanics and ended up just removing beads or fiber optics because of the blurriness. I need etched reticle red dots to overcome the effects of astigmatism and halos/half moon dots. Overall, I would go with exactly what I have. I asked about replacements if the need arises, my ophthalmologist said that these will outlast me. I guess I shouldn't be too upset, considering that my old eyes were something terrible.

I like to tinker and improve cheap rifles, too.
Makes me think I’m getting a deal when in reality I probably spend close to custom rifle cost! But it keeps me occupied in the cold months here, and keeps the costs spread out which the better half is more OK with I’ve learned.

That is a very good price on the SSG, such a killer rifle made even better being chambered in 30-06 & with the Vision chassis. Wish I could justify it…
