Rifle Scopes Hunting Scope suggestions

The downside to handicapping yourself with needing illumination to be able to use the scope, is betting the farm on a battery not dying or electronics not crapping out.

I've successfully used my NX8 2.5-20 twice to kill elk, where I would have gotten skunked if it didn't work. After the first time it made me uneasy, and sold the scope after the second time. Just not comfortable betting that much on it always working. But to each their own.

Horse Power, Track Shit, Torque, Cubic Inches, Liters, Run What Ya Brung, Auto or Cycle

Absolutely.
I never had access to a dyno when I was doing mine....but mine also started out with a 307, and the 327 I put in was impressive. The 'drive-in crew chiefs' 😆 figured it was mid to high 300 horses. ? Which nowadays my wife's Chev truck exceeds. But in the mid 70's, that was fast for street...here.
They figure hers will be mid 400's, and lots of torque.
They will dyno it next Wednesday when we get there to drop off the car. They were nice enough to wait for the test so we can see it. 👍
Dyno room pics and specs after Easter Monday!
You can watch a thousand dyno pulls on u tube but when you are there on the other side of the glass it's pretty cool. Even better when it's your motor.
Many years ago I was at Detroit Gasket doing some AC repair on the dyno room. They had a NASCAR test motor on the dyno and were just getting ready to run it. I stayed and watched because they were going to run it to simulate race conditions. Something like 7500 RPM for so many seconds and then back down some RPM for a few seconds and then back to full throttle to simulate whatever race track. I asked the guy if he ever got bored doing it and he quickly replied no.

The hardest specification you list is a useable reticle at low power. That rules out almost all of the FFP flavors, as they are mostly pretty useless at low power, especially on the higher powered examples.
in my limited experience, illuminated ffp reticles def offset (at least partially) the difficulty to see them at low powers. i prefer holding over vs dialing, so ffp being accurate at any X is a draw for me. agree the higher the magnification goes, the less you can use the reticle at lower powers so my hunting scopes (the nf 2.5-20 and vortex's ref'd above) max out at 16-20x.

Official (DTA) SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Thread

Anybody mess around with a 22 creedmoor conversion kit? Thinking about going to it to slam some groundhogs this year for a farmer. Anybody know of any readily available rifles, I sent SAC, Special Purpose Rifles, and TS Customs a message.
I’ve not; .223 from SAC is awesome, but I get wanting to push for speed.
I’m tempted to find a smith for a .17-556 conversion just to lob tiny things with zero recoil at absurd velocity.
SAC has told me historically they’re sticking just to the .223 for time being.
I’ve just been hand loading 6.5creedmoor with about 43.5-44.1gr Staball and a 143gr ELDX and seeing 2950FPS with few pressure signs and very low SD.
Tempted to play with a lighter bullet and see how fast…

Feedback Scam alert Steve636357

doesn't do much. i had same experience as OP. when i called them out as scammers they tried to turn the tables around and called me a scammer and left me negative feedback. reported it and its still on my profile 😡
Dealing with that myself. Not sure where the mods are regarding this but messaged a few, reported the scammer, and reported the scam feedback they left me. Very disappointing.
