The far more common problem with CCI is with duds. Not enough priming compound or something. Maybe you found where they stored all the extra!
In tens of thousands of .22 rounds, I've never seen that!

Never owned an ATACR, although I know the scope get a lot of love here. I do own an NX8 2.5-20 and really like it. The NX8 has very good glass, although I suspect the ATACR will be even better. ATACR will probably run you about $500 more, if that price differential is important to you. Personally, I think the larger magnification range makes the NX8 slightly more useful. Depending on your eyesight and the size of the target having an additional 4x on the upper range might be useful. And 2.5x at the lower range will make the gun more useful at fairly close range.

The one thing I would caution you about the NX8 is that it has a very shallow depth of field. With the parallax set for 100 yards, even something at 300 will not be in focus and require an adjustment. I suspect the ATACR will be significantly better in this regard.

I had a member here use a mount against my recommendations and then had the issues I described. We did a quick troubleshoot over the phone and it was exactly what I described. He still blamed the scope…

Sorting by BTO or bearing surface is pretty far down the list of things that are going to make a meaningful difference in your group sizes.

Not saying that sorting can't or won't help... but the situations where the juice is worth the squeeze are pretty far and few between. If you want to, go for it. Just don't be surprised if you don't see huge returns on the time/effort expended.

While sorting may not "make a meaningful difference in your group sizes", one just needs to be aware that their can be a significant difference from one lot to another that will. Don't take it for granted the the new box of the same bullets you just bought will the the same as your old one.

There's enough interest in the Lot Test Fixture (LTF)) that I'll move it into production, but I also received questions/feedback about the overall length.

A number of you would like to see a bit more material forward of the recoil lug pocket to provide more surface for the vise to hold onto. So, the overall length is now 15" instead of 12". A Bushing Plate will be included with the LTF; it's used in place of a DBM for the Gen 3 Single Shot and while doing maintenance and/or cleaning. Those wanting to feed from a magazine can add the DBM. I don't have pricing just yet.

Additionally, all parts have moved into production, as well as the Receiver Wrench for two lug and three lug receivers. I'll announce when I'm ready to accept orders.

Problem with Russia is constant “patience” and “acceptance “ of various excuses (such as minks I II, sending arms, jobless nato soldiers and now the latest spin about “producing own taurus missiles” domestically). I’m sure they’ve wargamed countless scenarios and i guess they decided on the low and slow until pork is ready to be pulled and falls of the bone. I just hope they know what theyre doing because West does not and hubris filled elites and infantile population might cause a bit too dark and crispy .
