XM7 worries from the field.

I'm wondering how useful that optic will be. Is Joe really gonna sit there and lase a target? Does it even matter if the army sticks with its usual standards of marksmanship training?
Not sure if this iteration of the optic will be useful but I think the tech will continue to evolve into a more useful version. Same thing applies to the newer high pressure ammo. Those are really the two good things I think will come from this program. I want the ICAR to succeed in its contract. I was talking to someone in the ammunition development area and he was explaining that ammunition developed for the icar could see a 300fps gain over standard 6 arc ammo currently available. That's something I would be interested in.

Yes , serbia also barely had an airforce something like 10-15 mig 29s and there were 500-800 NATO planes flying sorties , but the point is it could not be busted , and an airbase is different than missile base as planes still need runways , and them flying those 10-15 migs against NATO force was not much point

The most impresive Iranian missile base is like US concept where missiles are fired under cover trough hidden and protected shafts , and if one gets blown next one can be used .

Like said underground bases have good track record in withstanding bombardment and folks that build them generaly planed for them being attacked so exits are designed for that.

Simple reason why US getting involved it not quite as risk free as folks think , there are 40,000 to 50,000 US military personnel stationed in the Middle East , many much closer than Israel , also unlike Israel those bases do not have layers of AD and air raid shelters like Israel has , so if all out shooting starts this could get dicy real fast. There are many more short to medium range missiles than long range ones they are lobbing at israel , also shit load of drones that were so far not used en masse. Ground invasion of Iran is more or less out of the question terrain is not like Iraq.
Technical superiority goes right down to zero when your magazine is empty (AD missiles used up at vociferous rates by Israel and Ukraine far in excess of yearly production.)

Also remember that in the former Yugoslavia, the Clinton Admin put something like a 30,000 foot floor on aircover. Maybe it was only 10K. I can't recall the actual number. But they had a hard deck for US operations so another plane didn't get shot down. Anyone else remember Scott O'Grady and the hubbub that caused?

So to avoid that, planes could not operate at altitudes that would have let them make precision strikes. And 'may' have had all their operations limited. I don't know about that. Maybe someone can chime in. Clinton did NOT want to lose any more aircraft.

More likely it's too dangerous to move civilian aircraft in the airspace right now.

Last thing we need is a planeload of US Citizens winged by an Iranian missile.... Lindsey Graham would be seen fapping on National TV over that one...

If I were an American in Israel right now, I'd be much happier in a bunker or out on some Kibbutz watching the show through binoculars.

That's technically not true. They do have a bomb that could do it.

Quite a few, in fact.... Underground testing was never banned...

But I doubt they will first-use. That would be a bad, bad move for their future and ability to leverage their historical victim status.

Now if Iran does something NBC tonight... But they have been bloviating every day on TV. Well, on the TV that's left after the IDF put a smart bomb on the TV studio ;-)

No bunker buster needed.

Just place an order with that nifty earthquake generator down in Antarctica and it will be proven that no facility can be built deep enough to avoid destruction.

Then again, the MIC would not like for this conflict to end so early. Too much money on the table to be made right now.

Wait, What? Lizzo is doing a concert in Antarctica right now?
