I'm sure he had a plan, the area he is in, is wooded and hilly, lots of places to go, to hide. I grew up deer hunting that area

One of my customer/buddies and retired SS shoots 6CM on his PRS guns. He gets about 2500 on his. He takes care of it... but he uses it also. He's had I think 3 in a row now and all ended around 2500. Prior to the BB material he was pulling them at about 1200-1400 rounds. I think 1400 was a stretch.

Send it or naw? Hornady brass. I crushed the shoulder during seating. Turns out virgin hornady brass could use a little neck lube. Especially for bullets with a long bearing surface like the hornady BTHP match.

I made a shortened and improved 6GT AI case once too while seating a bullet. Turned out that the Hornady seating die instructions were just a touch different than the Redding ones.

I really hate having 199 cases.

The lines on the case might be feedramps or magazine lips

The primer cupping and the ejector mark could be overpressure rounds or just sharp ejector edges and an oversided firing pin hole

Before you get worried try some different brands of ammo and compare the cases

Small base sizing is also critic as Emrek says above.

If you are loading for semi-auto, you need to do FL resize with small base die. Not standard die. Not neck bump. Those tools/techniques are for bolt guns.
