Rifle Scopes Official Zero Compromise Optic News & Updates

What's the status on these being offered with the larger field of view? I apologize if this has been asked, I went back a few pages and didn't see anything. I haven't looked at optics much since early in the year and remember thats what all the talk was about.

They all have the same FOV all around the world, I've read about some saying we use FOV restrictors for certain markets or that we've not opened them up to the full potential etc etc.

I work sales for ZCO HQ in Austria and to the best of my knowledge neither is a thing.

4DOF inclined fire error

I think Hornady (LedZep-Joe) is overcomplicating things with 6DOF, wind modeling, and so on—turning what should be a simple algorithmic error into a convoluted mess. The truth is much simpler: don’t lose sight of the forest for the trees.
When their software was released, one of the first features I tested was Angle Fire, since it’s a key quality indicator in any firing solution. Focusing on wind profiles, range winds, and slope corrections will only distract them from the real issue.
IMHO, it’s surprising that no one else—including Hornady—has noticed the obvious after all this time. As always, the truth is right in front of you.

FN SCAR IS DEAD; LONG LIVE THE SCAR! US and Belgium Production is over.

I was involved a little in the DOD SCAR experience. Here is what killed the gun.

FN overgassed it badly.

The gas regulation is poorly thought out.

Leadership didn't give troops the training time to overcome the reciprocating charging handle.

The handguard design and length is from 2001, which exacerbated the charging handle issue.

The mags were ungodly expensive. They shouldn't be. D&H makes the mags.

It is 3000 dollars. The price they were selling for, post sample to dealers at Shot when they first came out, was 900 dollars. That is what FN should have remembered when selling them.

If you bite the bullet on the mags, put in a 3 select regulator from mototech, and put a KDG extended handguard on, the gun is the BEST shooting large frame 308 ever. It is light, soft shooting, and accurate.

It should have had a minimum of post issue development but everyone wanted to shit on it because it was different. However, it was the best small arms iteration of the last 20 years.

For argument's sake- lets say you found yourself having dinner with the world's foremost WWII historian- what would you ask them?

not an argument but i have heard it suggested that the later start to Barbarossa would not have mattered. the rasputitsa ended later than normal and mud would have slowed the Germans down anyway. this is a rarely agreed idea,so i don't know.
interesting point about loss of Moscow not ending it. i think depends on Stalin's survival. he didn't leave Moscow,so an interesting thought. if he had been killed i think USSR tanks. if not it survives. IMHO German barbarism lost them the war. they act friendly in Ukraine and that people fight Stalin. millions did anyway. the holocaust was a huge waste of time, resources and effort-obviously unnecessary. WW! had several Jewish war heroes, including a blue max winning ace. get the nuc scientist Jews on your side and get an end game if the engineering in Germany is up to it.
skip the battle of Britain and preserve the Luftwaffe. Mediterranean strategy a winner. almost won with a small panzer commitment. keep enough troops in the east to guard against Russia and support Rommel big time. no worries about Baku oil.
Yep, had he taken his time he could have owned Europe, consolidated, then moved on.
