T1x ACE in Hand - Review - Pictures - Info - Thoughts

Thanks for your thoughts. The LRP is available and around $300 less, but I didn't like the feel of the plastic really, and m-lok is useful on the MDT of course.

I see your point about the length of the forend, and yes the Arca rail is useful but omg aren't Arca Bipods expensive somehow ;-)

I'll have a think about that Tikka forend length.

I also could get a Element Optics Titan 5-25x56 for $1k ($185 more than a Strike Eagle), pros and cons I guess..
Most people end up with ARCA rail eventually for competition use, the bipods can be extremely expensive but then all good bipods are expensive.
Many bipods are the same price for picatinny or ARCA, and you can attach a picatinny rail or sling stud adapter to the ACE M-lok forend.

I can't comment on the Element Titan sorry, the Strike Eagle for around $800 is a pretty safe bet.

What distance are you trying to DSF? You should be 300 yards or further, and space them out. So DSF 1 300 yards, DSF 2 500 yards, DSF 3 700 yards etc.
Standard velocity (subsonic) 22lr, so I have being doing it within 200yards and a spacing of only 30 on yards.
I know a bunch of people who have trued their AB Kestrels this way, so was copying them.

I want a custom profile that is an exact fit up to 250yards, I don't shoot further than that.
What distances would you recommend I true DSF at?

FBI declares Sig 320/ ‘M17/ M18 unfit for duty

So ? has anyone posting here actually read the report ??
This is what I found online:

3_32.jpg4_32.jpg5_32.jpg6_32.jpg7_32.jpg8_32.jpg9_32.jpg10_32.jpg11_32.jpg12_32.jpg13_32.jpg14_32.jpg15_32.jpg16_32.jpg17_32.jpg18_32.jpg19_32.jpg20_32.jpg21_32.jpg

What got my immediate attention was the horrendous surface finish and dimensional deviations that are simply untenable for a pre-cocked, ready to fire striker mechanism. Would you carry a 1911 without safety if hammer and sear looked like this garbage? Oh, and let's not forget that the affected SIG pistols have the additional complication of movement between slide and frame influencing the sear engagement.

If you design a fire control group with that much inherent risk (pre cocked striker, able to set off a primer) in the presence of inevitable slide to frame movement then you need material science, manufacturing and QC at the level of where Geissele operates currently. SIG USA is obvious nowhere near this league. The old SIG (Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft) set a high bar in metallurgy and manufacturing with the iconic P210 and even the P226/228/229 produced after the merger with Sauer were well made. These design were inherently safer and were very well executed. The downhill slide of the company started with Cohen, failing forward from Kimber. More complicated and half-baked designs while simultaneously racing to the bottom of parts quality and QC. What could possibly go wrong? BTW, Sig Sauer Swiss still exists but they closed the German plant in Eckernfoerde and now import the handgun garbage from Exeter.

PS: I am not a SIG hater. I love my P226 and P228 and think that DA/SA is a valid way to combine absolute safety with an excellent trigger. The whining about the initial heavy trigger pull is range primadonna BS. In a high stress, life or death scenario you will not even notice the difference and most likely benefit form the first shot needing a little more deliberate finger movement. If the first shot needs to be a precise one (Dickens Drill), then cock the dang hammer. I also own a SIG Cross, a smoking deal after the "voluntary recall", which was also a sear engagement issue. And then there is the SSG 3000, a reliable hammer, unfortunately obsoleted by the newer chassis designs.

Have you ever wanted to know someone’s name so bad -

Timer starting now until “he” shows up to tell us it’s normal and good and anyone in any city larger then 1000 everyone is a piece of shit criminal and deserves this department - and he’ll ask me if I’ve been sexually molested by a cop - because in his world he knows how common that is .

I’m betting under 10 minutes. He’s currently dismounting something large and dick shaped

Any mountain bikers out there 2.0

I ride there time to time with my wife. The stuff in Bella Vista is pretty good, the last time we were there we did the Tunnel Vision & Back 40 loop. It's pretty sweet to have a 50 ish mile single track loop with minimal repeat. There are some fun trails out there. I like Hobbs as well but damn I'm destroying tires every trip. I am a weight weenie and cringe at tires that are over 700g. What tires are you having good luck with out there?

I am currently on a pair of Continental Dubnatols but I haven't been out there with them yet.

Have you ridden out in Jasper? I enjoy the Upper Buffalo Headwaters trail system and Rope Swing has put a lot of money into the trails at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch. They are pretty good.
Wow 700g tires are super light!
I’m running Maxxis Assagai 2.5 up front and DHR Exo+ 2.4 rear and they each come in around 1100g.
Our Rocky, ledge filled trails kill light tires pretty quick unless you’re real careful. I did notice a difference going to carbon wheels….that weight does make a difference.

Not at all. 84-87 (SOC) never touched it.
87-91 (SAC) Never touched it.

Once SAC changed to ACC during the McPeak years, we had to start playing silly reindeer games.
Sad times...
Left Ellsworth in 95 and went to Mtn Home and had to play even more. Same with the year at Kunsan

I went back to Ellsworth in 2000.
I can't recall putting it on between then and '04 when I retired. Good times.

God I loathed that asshat McPeak

I remember seeing his quote framed and hanging in maintenance shops, aerial ports, etc. all over the world. And was told there’s an engraved plaque of it hanging in every missile solo too.

Paraphrasing from memory:

“The Air Force is not necessarily a career opportunity for non-Fighter Pilots; or God forbid, those who don’t have wings at all”

Hey! Bear Pit! Do a trick!

You pricks are boring me to pieces lately.

Someone go rent a Lambo and dangle a sammich in front of some starving coloreds and post us pictures.

Bench press buckets of concrete hung on the limbs of your bow.

We need a community gathering at the whipping post.

You old hats are losing your touch. (The ones the little fella hasn’t ban hammered yet to pave the way for all these AWESOME new dolts, window lickers, askholes, novelists, and scammers.)
