Either way- I stand by my original statement. I think Elon Musk is an honest to goodness present day "Bond villain" or at least the closest I've ever seen. He's got more money than God & everything he does seems to be focused on getting us further than we ever had dreamed about achieving in space (that much I can fully support).

As far as his platform for the American party... reckon we'll just have to wait and see. I wish him luck either way. I had hopes with the Tea Party a decade or so ago but maybe Elon can encompass some of that with his wealth. Just like with Trump, I'm oddly ok with billionaires running for political office these days because if nothing else, they aren't 'bought' by other companies and reckon that's the least evil.

Wild times we're living in.

I would expect that most of the current MAGA crowd will get behind Musk in order to ditch the RINOs. Hopefully, Trump is man enough to endorse this on his way out as a fuck you to the RINOs who undermined his first term and are still scheming against the MAGA agenda.

Let's also hope that the Socialists/Communists/Marxists split off from the Democratic platform with the backing of Soros. MuskMAGA vs. Uniparty (RINOs plus what's left of old school Democrats) vs. the Commies would be a pretty realistic representation of the ideological factions in the USA.

If the Left stays united, we are going to be badly screwed in the 2028 presidential election.

After the Republicans turned the OBBB into another Porculus bill and left 2A in the cold, I am fine with Musk causing a divided Congress after the Midterms. The fewer laws this corrupt bunch can pass the better. Trump has enough power and budget as of Friday to keep gutting the deep state and continuing the deportations.

Well, I totally fucked up and voted for Perot in 1992. At the time, I believed I was voting for the best candidate and that he really had a shot at winning.
I was wrong, so so wrong. Perot running gave us 8 years of Bill Clinton and the evil Satanic pile of festering aborted demon magma that is Killary.

Adding a third mostly Conservative Party to the mix will result in an era of Obama type dominance in government that will result in nothing but pain and misery for all of us.

Better glass than XTR pro around 2k used???

Waiting on a new 22 build that should be here next month so in the market for a scope. Currently running 2 Burris XTR3 and 3 XTR pros on my match rifles. I love the 1/4 mil reticles and pretty much everything about the scopes and they have been rock solid for me over the years.

Over the last 2 years age has started to catch up with me and my eyes are starting to go down hill. So my question to the group, are there any optics I can grab on the used market for around $2k that will be a decent step up in glass resolution and ability to cut the mirage?

I have looked through a few ZCO and they are a fairly large step up but I’m not willing to pay the price.

Mark 5’s I have looked through are not as good of glass as the pros I use to me.

Scopes I’m aware of that “might” be an improvement are rzr gen3, Theos, Zeiss S3??? I have not been able to look through any of those to compare so would like feedback there.

Also really like that the Burris has a pretty forgiving paralax setting, can usually set it and forget it for most stages and would like what ever I buy to be similar.

Open to other ideas as well unless it’s people jumping in to say stop being poor and buy a ZCO.
