What the fuck is apparent FOV? lol You have a FOV spec. That tells you what you see.

I mostly shoot 5 rd. groups, but will do 3 for a hunting rifle. I guess the main reason is I have generally short shots on deer, so 3 rds. is going to give me all the info I need.

That’s field of view, not apparent field of view.
Apparent is linear fov/magnification and is a function of the eye piece rather than the objective. The angle you are seeing vs the linear measurement at a prescribed distance.
So 35.3/3=11.767 and 7/15=0.467 degrees

After reading everything above I doubt it was the torque driver now. It probably never clicked because the material gave up the ghost before the torque limit.

Rem XR-100 in 308. Rather uncommon I guess, as it was a Gander Mountain exclusive. I got it there on clearance for $600. Aside from having a butt pad installed for more LOP, it's bone stock. Shoots lights out. A buddy, who's a decent shooter btw, said that 2 of his best 3 groups ever were shot with this rifle.

I've thought about having it threaded, but really don't want to take a chance on messing it up. The only other thing is I prefer 2-stage triggers, but this is pretty nice for a single stage.

Cool, thanks. Just curious on the different numbers. Both 424 and 425 say similar to 2230 and wondered if there is a difference between the two or if it's just different lot numbers. Regardless, it sounds like it will fit the bill for the intended purpose.

I had some of that older M118 with the 173-gr bullet, to be honest it didn't shoot as expected, but not that bad either.

I may have the box with empty brass, and possibly the older white box FGMM.
