Suppressors Form 4 wait time

Riding along with the new owners of my LGS while they tackled the learning curve of being a new FFL and a SOT was at times frustrating

But, finally, after three months of wrangling their ducks into a V formation they got my Huxwrx Ventum in and paperwork submitted on April 25

Our favorite agency 🙄😄approved my form 4 today, May 8.

Not as quick as some but a helluva lot faster than the 11 months my last two took.

I am anxious to see how it compares to the Nomad L I was using on the gas guns.

Movie Theater "The Long Walk"

It's a pretty short story. Not a "bad" basis for a movie, but the story seems to intentionally leave everything out about how this dystopian, alternate-universe America came about. I'm having a hard time imagining how you fill up a full length movie just watching kids walk till they can't and get shot for 90 minutes... Man vs Man story about human nature, but all of the unwritten background and mystery on how they came to this Long Walk is also kind of the point, and fleshing that out in a movie would change the whole meaning unless done very artfully...

The short story The Long Walk most certainly influenced it's full-novel, big brother, The Running Man.

Finding a wife

That's why I always laugh at the Man Cave crap. You paid for the majority of the house and now you hide in the garage with a pile of junk.
I have a died in the wool single friend who has a funny personality. He's mid 70's and has had one serious relationship his whole life but he never married her. She did him wrong........

I get a kick being at his place because his whole everything is manland! Who else has expensive vintage motorcycles, RC stuff, guns of all types, and a knife collection not a few yards from his kitchen and living area.
That doesn't include his bar area, 20'x60' shop, and the 40 acres he lives on which is a shooting range. 1143Y out his front door into the FS and almost 500Y out back - steel everywhere!

He's a riot!

Finding a wife

Keeping it short he literally called her the devil because she caused him constant grief. He hated her. This devil's husband built himself a room in the basement and locked himself in there, rarely coming out, to avoid the crazy bitch. I'm not kidding.

Parker Hale T4

If I remember correctly Enfield made the hammer forged barrels for 39/42 7.62 conversions. Excellent shooters. Parker Hale barrels are also fabulous. I have used dozens either on actual PH rifles 81/82/84/85/87 or used to build Mauser based rifles. It's sort of an Red Delicious apple to Cosmic Crisp apple comparison, personal preference and availability. Really finding any factory heavy barrel No.4 in 7.62 in the US is a happy day and an enjoyable rifle. Most of the target versions are reasonably affordable, while the L39/42 rifles have gotten stupid. Example, I once bought an L42A1 in its transit chest with matching optics and all accessories for $1500. I think there is one on GB now for $15000 or more.

Anschutz 1727 magazine basepads

SLR has fed pretty reliably in mine. I have an order in for a full case, down to 7 bricks on last purchase.
I've been using Wolf MT and it feeds okay just not as smooth as the PB does. It must have to do with the bullet shape and which I assume is the reason the BC is higher in the PB. Also the PB was going 1107 fps/summer in my gun.

Powder IN-STOCK thread

I just happened to be on the site and seen it. I bought one 8#er. The other didn't last long. That was all the powder listed though. Just two jugs of MP587. Nothing else was added that I can tell.

They also listed a few bullets too. I "think" .270 Swift Sorrico's in 130 and 150.
Damn, I wanted some lol...
