Kahles vz ZCO

I have never owned a ZCO. Or a Kahles. Or a TT.

Scopes I own: Razor G2 4.5-27, S&B 5-25, NF 4-32, PST II’s, Razor LHT 4.5-22 and 3-15.

I simply & calmly tell it like I see it and often provide supporting links. I really hate groupthink and fanboy-ism. I think it’s pretty obvious I have no ZCO vendetta.

I mean, does @koshkin himself have a ZCO vendetta when he states he has heard of QA issues (via, ahem, non-public info) with the 840 while at the same time saying the 527 has a stellar QA rep? Or when he states ZCO is fudging their public FOV stats (and that ZCO dislikes him for that)??

No. He is telling it as he sees it.

C’mon guys.

I'm glad you're posting for someone else again, we can meet on @koshkin podcast and we can discuss it. I won't be sick next time.

Kahles vz ZCO

@CSTactical

You are taking this personally. It is not an attack, it a discussion aimed at other forum members, not sales guys. If you haven’t noticed, I actually suggested buying a ZCO vs a Kahles to the OP.

We get your position. You have a financial interest in selling ZCO. That’s fine. But you don’t see other store reps, like Doug from Cameraland, Euro Conner from EO, Mile High, or any other reps deluge threads with their rep opinions.

I also am flummoxed as to why you don’t pipe up so vociferously against problem reports regarding TT, S&B, Kahles, Leupold, Impact actions, Spuhr, Swaro, MDT, Vortex, or Zeiss etc, (all other brands you carry).

If a guy can’t link to public posts and pass on some insider info without 15 long dilutive replies from someone who has a financial interest in selling the product…well, you’re literally only damaging your brand (ZCO and CSTactical).

This just shows that you do not read my posts, again I'm not just some Sales Guy. There is plenty of that on this forum, I'm not taking it personally as I stated that I've been directly involved in some of these past their user names whether it is over the phone, PM or both. Forum posts do not show the whole picture is what I've said earlier. Why are you taking all this personally when you're not directly involved in any of this and don't know what the truth is? If I'm just here for financial motivation, then why are you regurgitating all of these negative posts? What's your motivation? Who do you work for? What's your name?
If you're going to claim I have some hidden agenda then you have my number or you can come out of anonymity.

"Over Gassed" AR's Fact or Fiction? Other Perspectives

Ok, seriously....

When and more importantly WHY did the ejection pattern become the end-all, be-all sign of AR operation?
When I am across the border with Meal Team Six in my plausibly-deniable ambush position I need to know where my empties are going to land so I can ensure I leave no trace.

I am also a liar.

Mk 13 Mod 0 stock

Second picture below is a new barrel compared to an original take off. All dimensions were taken from the original barrel and an original blue print.

Just like @ilikebmxbikes said in his post above, these are the absolute best Mk13 Mod 3 barrels that collectors/cloners can possibly get! If any of you need a Mod 3 barrel, contact @crazynoto asap and get one the list. Who knows if this will be the last run or not, so grab 1 or 2 while you still can!

If you already have a built rifle, it's still a good idea to get in on this deal and pick up an extra barrel. It's pretty easy to shoot out a .300WM barrel, so having a spare barrel or two on hand and ready to go is a great backup option to have. And if this turns out to be the last run of these barrels, any loose barrels will drastically increase in price over the coming years. Just a few other things to think about.

It was extremely surprising when @crazynoto found his original Mod 3 barrel, since it's currently the only original Mk13 Mod 3 barrel in private hands. He sent me tons of photos and we spent countless hours going over the smallest of details. That analysis paid off because we discovered exactly how the original Mod 3 barrels were made! This isn't just a look-alike or something that's close to the originals, it's an EXACT reproduction of the original Mod 3 barrels! This is the only place to get one, and @crazynoto has gone through great lengths to order the barrel blanks in the exact specs he needs to make these clone barrels.

Once a gunsmith installs this clone Mod 3 barrel on your rifle and does the vertical gate latch cuts, it will be a 100% reproduction of the finished original military barrels. The barrel blanks come with the barrel journal already installed, so @crazynoto has already taken care of the most difficult part of the barrel that needs to be precisely duplicated.

Please ask any questions in this thread. If anyone needs a Mod 3 barrel or 2, don't pass up this opportunity!

"Over Gassed" AR's Fact or Fiction? Other Perspectives

I agree that it is a sign, but for me I don't really care where it ejects if it does so reliably. My favorite upper consistently throws them at 1 -1:30 but has done so for a couple of thousand rounds. At that rate I won't touch a thing.
For many, it isn't an issue. Assuming all is well with the bolt, 1-1:30 is a sign of pretty aggressive gassing. As said, for many, it isn't as issue, as long as it keeps running with your chosen ammo.

So far, you've had reliability for 2000 rounds. Although overgassed rigs are generally more reliable than undergassed rigs, I'll bet your rig is seeing some pretty accelerated wear. Can you feel that groove in your cam pin yet? Notice some premature rounding on your bolt lugs? Ejector swipe marks on the brass? Perhaps partially torn rims on the cases?

Do you run steel cased ammo? Although your rig may be an exception, I'd lay odds that your rig chokes on steel cased ammo due to stuck cases.

I don't know how long you've had your AR or how many rounds you typically put through it, but for me, 2k rounds is a month of shooting and if I ran my setup that overgassed, I'd be replacing parts pretty often.

If you're considering going suppressed, I highly recommend some gas mitigation before doing so. Your rig will beat itself to death in pretty short order, if it runs at all.

Can we talk shooting technique?

How DARE I ask people on the internet what they do when training exist in the world.

Asking people what THEY do does not cost me any ammo. Stop being a snob. People can still discuss technique when live classes exist. Sorry but such an asinine reply
Well you asked a question about a very basic thing in shooting. I have seen too many new shooters develop bad habits trying to learn from the net on there own

I suggested a top notch shooting school Rifles Only that has a long history of making great gas gun shooters

Of course it costs nothing to ask how to shoot, tie your shoes etc but sometimes a little professional marksmanship instruction pays huge dividends

In your case have at it. I

Drive through masses of pedestrians its now a global thing

If those idiots would get a truck with a V-plow... and weld on some pointy and sharpy things, they could do a whole lot better.

Running some plastic 5 mph bumper into folks is just so un-creative.

Get a Fisher 9 foot V and weld some cleavers and steel punjii stakes on it... and now you are talking!

So lame...

Kahles vz ZCO

I run a ZCO and even I find the hyper-defensive nature of the ZCO lads to be a bit much a lot of the time.
ZCO SuperFans and USO Haters are different sides of the same extremist coin.

If something works for someone, so be it.

Optics judgments as an exercise in religious conversion fascinates me.

Kahles vz ZCO

Unbelievable  ..........

Maybe he wants ZCO to leave the forum just like the other manufacturers... I have sold and handled thousands of ZCO's since 2019, I track potential issues and look for trends. Not one off stuff, if there was a consistent problem than I'd discuss it with Jeff on our weekly calls to help me get through these backorders.

Do you really think I'd put my name and reputation on a product with a consistent problem? I don't need that type of headache and have dropped products and manufacturers with consistent QC or CS problems.

NEW! MDT SEND IT GEN2 \\ Electronic Rifle Level

Hello from France
Can you give all three dimensions with and without mount in order to know which model will fit.
Do you mean depth is 31.3 mm ?
On the following picture, the 16 mm height seems incorrect, it should be around 19 mm.
Or maybe 16 mm is the height above the inside of the picatinny rail…
Thanks

View attachment 8677809
Why do you ask that? In the very picture you included, it shows the thickness of the led unit as 12.7mm. Is it a stretch to imagine that 3.3mm is added using that particular picatinny mount?

Maybe this picture from their site can help:

Edit: that’s a CR2032 battery in the picture for size comparison.

Or go directly to to the page where they are for sale:
