Seriously, I hate to keep kicking a dead horse here, but after-purchase-support is a big deal, and not everyone wants to (or can afford to) choose between buying another $4k scope for “just in case” or else having to wait weeks/months to straighten out an issue.

I really like this new March (and am considering getting one), but until there’s an option for service besides sending it back to Japan, I’m going to be holding off for now. JMHO/YMMV

I wish I could have replied to this sooner but the information was internal until until this morning, March will have a statewide repair facility and the scopes will be sent there for any repair work to be completed. Expected timeline is first quarter for 2026.

A side-by-side of the DDG Standard M5 and the DDG M5x DBMs. As implied by the name, the Standard M5 drops right into any current M5 inlet, but it's skirted and has my Mini-ARCA for the Barricade Stop.

The M5x is full featured, with the Limiting Piston, Skirt and Mini-ARCA. As I've covered in three prior posts, the M5x requires a simple revision to any current M5 inlet and a revision to the underside of the receiver.

The revision to the stock is to allow the piston feature on the top back wall to drop into the stock. The revision to the receiver is to allow the vertical travel of the piston when the magazine is inserted. Once the magazine clicks into place, the piston stops any further vertical travel.

The piston feature has been in the wild since 2009 and the preferred stock makers have done inlets for the piston feature. Very simple process.

What was 8208 doing? Not sure many of us tested it since it's not all that common anymore. Powder database shows it's average diameter is less than varget, so it should work ok in the varget disc.

The testers have found that taking a slow mo video of the trickler while running can be helpful to diagnose any issues.

There should be a requirement for all pro series directors to shoot at least 3 matches a year. Not every MD actually needs it but some do, and I could name every one

If Paul would have someone else set the course of fire, a pro in the southeast...he could run a very good match.

I don't have anything bad to say about him. He was always nice and friendly to me. But I got some buddies who refuse to shoot there after getting into it with him. I shot like 3 or 4 of his pro matches in a row. Enough to know I wouldn't go back unless something changed.

It was also the only match I saw where the prize table was treated like a bank vault. After everyone walks usually they let everyone go get whatever's left. Not as his match. I guess he keeps all the other stuff donated to the match to sell in the store or give away at other matches. Every other venue the MDs want all the shit gone...after all the sponsers donated the product for THAT match.

Not every match is for everyone and some like things better at some matches than at others but that whole values thing was a laugh. The PRS that has no problem running a regional .22 finale the day after a devastating storm wipes out roads and people’s homes. I won’t join the PRS again after that BS and my PRS number is 48. Not until the PRS changes their “values”. Or their leadership again as they seem to change every 2-3 years lol

Be mindful when choosing rail covers, I do know that the Vision Hybrid is to thick for Magpul Type II covers to work. Anything with the tnut set would be ok though.

Selling this EWS Bufferless BCG. I ran it on suppressed 77gr 223 from a 16” barrel (w/adjustable gas block). No additional tuning needed from my standard buffer system. Only ran ~100rds with it.
