.223 Rifle Build

Oh im not afraid of 90 degree actions lol and never had issue, i just want a shorter throw action :) And my other ones are Tikka and TRG 22. they are both setup the way i like and dont really want to rebarrel those for now, just want a dedicated very good .223 rifle. I'm not opposed to spend money on quality parts so thats why i asked for your guys input. I do alot of research before I spend the money usually and 99% of the time the end result is trouble free.
Having said all that bs, I mostly have experience with AR platform in that caliber, be it built by me or someone else, bolt gun in todays world with so many options is a bit overwhelming. AR i know exactly what I need to build a fantastic rifle, bolt gun is like voodoo since its been a very long time since i had a rifle built. Now, with all the actions, prefit barrels, and stock options i figured i need some outside input before i spend $$$$$
I’m a sucker for the stuff from zermatt arms, especially the origin for its price point the offer it at. I like feature set it offers with the ease of swapping out bolt heads, control round feeding and the fact that I can take savage barrel nut barrels, origin shouldered or with swapping to the HRL lug it’s ability to take TL3 shouldered barrels.

Hey, I’ve got a great idea. Let’s argue about manual transmissions in the motivational picture thread without posting any motivational pictures.

The USS Wisconsin???

Sirhr

I think it was the "Arakwe". One of the much older Dixie Gun Works Black Powder Annuals had an excerpt on it. Strange but apparently true and the captain's quick wits secured the ironclad from being stormed. There was no Wisconsin named boats on the Civil War era ship roster but Wisconsin AKA BB-64 made legends of it's own when it's 16 inchers vaporized the entire top of a mountain housing North Korean coastal artillery positions during the Korean War...

Double leg amputee- shot 11 times in the back

Why Patches O’hulahan are you asking for my home address?
Gonna make me blush.
Lazy and fat ? That what you got ?
Yes it’s flying - my in box is full of PMs saying I should keep feeding you shit because your responses are fucking priceless.
Did you always grossly over react to everything or not u til those guys fucked you in the shed , a lot , for ice cream?
you gonna give your address ?

Doubt it anyone that matters is messaging you.
I’m reacting just as grossly as you. Like I said, you’re a bit of a bitch and it’s showing.

Wut? You fucking dudes in a shed? I knew you were a homo.

Double leg amputee- shot 11 times in the back

seems like 2 or 3 max in the back should do it. i mean, unless the pig was using 22 shorts which i doubt. normal response to that would push him out of the chair on his face which i suspect would neutralize the threat. from what i have seen of cop shootings, had to be close to the target. i think their average is about 1 hit in 10 tries. NYC pigs shot some black guy in a confined door way a bunch of times. think they sent 80 or so rounds. not sure but the story is around. there is one posted here where some pig shot a dog 4 times, hit the owner with 1 that went thru the dog. dog was still alive last i saw. great shooting from about 3ft away. also as a side benefit, this pig failed to consider a 4 yo kid on the other side of his target. should have shot the kid too. she could very well have presented an imminent threat to our bad assed blue hero.
And that’s not always the case. It SHOULD do it, but it doesn’t aways. That’s a big reason for the high count of rounds fired, anywhere. Doesn’t matter if we are talking ccw, military, police whatever.

Add, 1 or 2 people also shooting that the same time…it’s not that weird to shoot 11 times to completely stop a target. Not that that will satisfy people here.

all that said, I don’t doubt at all that there’s training issues. Heres an example. Probably drugs but that’s not always the case. Sometimes it’s just will.

YEEPS! That look about as agonizing as it can get, as well as embarrassing too. Now imagine if that shell was loaded with rock salt... Or parasitic worm larvae... :ROFLMAO:

The question is not "what can you load in a shotgun shell?", but "WHAT CAN'T YOU LOAD IN A SHOTGUN SHELL?" There had been the folktale of a Union gunboat towards the end of the Civil War which had lost course during a bad storm and ended up deep inside hostile Indian territory. As the enemy warriors were attempting to board the steamer the crew did not expect hostilities at the start of their journey and the ship's deck guns were not loaded, with only one charge of powder for each next to them, and the shells were locked away in the magazine deep within the ironclad's bowels. The captain, using his quickest wits, ordered the crew to bring balls of cheese from the mess section as it was much closer, pack them above the powder and had the first couple of deck batteries discharged into the mass of attacking hostiles. The barrage of cheese at roughly 2000 FPS out of the 12 pounders eliminated the first wave of the attackers and the rest beat feet out of there fast once they saw what the smoke-spewing ironclad was capable of.

The real reason for all the recent plane crashes.

Just getting into this but good post. My father was a captain with TWA for 30 years, flew everything from Martin 404's and DC3's up to 737's he would agree 100% with this lady...who I bet was HOT a few years ago.

Imagine the outcome if an inexperienced DEI hire had been in Sully's seat when he had to ditch into the Hudson.

SOLD Nightforce ATACR 4-16x42-MILXT--never mounted

I recently purchased a Nightforce ATACR 4-16x42 Mil XT reticle--from the good folks at Mile High Shooting. I purchased it in "LN" Like new condition. Was sealed new in box before I opened it at home. Never mounted. Saved some $$ by buying like new...cannot tell a difference between new new and like new.

Recently laid off and need to sell this one to fund my commitment to US-Optics for a long desired MST-100.

$2199 shipped. (not considering trades at the moment)

PM for pics and or cell phone.

Snow beaners are truly idiots…

Well, with this Federal Ballot we have going on here right now, I'm curious to see exactly how much "vote splitting" is going to take place, so that the current LIEberals get to continue with a minority leadership.

I truly can't understand why so many of you AmeriYanks think it's a great idea to have a 3 or more party system. That just ain't right.....
you do have a point. i would say that our 2 party system sucks, however. problem is there is no real dif in them. 3rd parties here have fucked things up. Ted Roosevelt gave us Wilson,Ross Perot gave us Clinton,Ralph Nader gave us George the 2nd. that 1 was prob better to get Bush than Al Gore but we ended up with 20 years of war in ME. Gore would have been even worse a disaster.

300 yard consistency

A .94" and .85" at 100yds is not bad. For myself I like 5 shot groups. You can get them fired before the conditions change. Don't worry about the ES and SD, You can't do anything about it That is the Beast for a rimfire. Find the ammo that shoots best in your gun. You will have vertical in the group at longer ranges. I tuner will take the vertical out of the groups. If your barrel is threaded get a EC V2 tuner, if not threaded get something like a Harrell bolt on.
Agreed, don’t worry about the velocity! For the most part I track velocity only to track group size. Been shooting Rimfire for over 45 years and never had a way to check SD/ES so I just trusted the box for velocity, but I would track average group size and link to brand/velocity.
