Nah, everyone already knows the answer to that. AI Rules, XYK drools and makes zippersHow is this still going on?
I’d rather see another AI vs XYZ action than another cleaning thread.
I got your drift, but went off on my own tangent. Lead sleds are a gimmick, similar to laser zeroing aids.I thought we were talking about nonsense in here.
Lead sleds are useless. Just drive the rifle.
if you have a good load for another bullet weight relatively close to these (103-110 grains) start with that power charge and do a seating depth test. I generally begin at -.035 and test every .015 deeper to .100 and see if there is a spot where the group center doesn't shift and the overall group size appears similar to those on either side.I've got quantities of both Berger 105 VLD and 109 ELD-M. My question is where how much jump to start with for initial load development? My initial thought is to start with about 0.025 junp and go from there, but I haven't shot either of these bullets before, so I'm all ears if anyone has real world experience they would care to share.
Calling Altus in a bit about getting it to them.If it is a SAAMI spec chamber, I’d be shocked if factory ammo wasn’t well off the lands.
As for headspace…I defer to those more expert than I but I have a difficult time thinking there could be enough variation to jam a bullet that should be well off the lands.
I’d be very interested in exactly what free bore is in that chamber.
Not a single problem. BUT... she didn't have to lock and clear with a round in the pipe. So the problem might have been there and we didn't know about it.And how did it perform on the first 100 rounds? Anything similar?
