Maggie’s Funny & awesome pics, vids and memes thread (work safe, no nudity)

Timney triggers work just fine.
I have a few and no complaints.

Only thing a tikka needs is a yo dave spring.

People have decided they need a 12 oz trigger to shoot.
I frequently get several groups in the high .2s to low .3s with a 2 lb trigger. 🤷‍♂️
If I dont it is because I am sucking, not the Timney….. (700 and 700 clone(ish) actions, not tikka)
I put a Timney in my M70. Works just fine. Have it set to about a pound. It isn't a Trigger Tech but works fine and is very consistent. Only gripe was it took some fitting that I was not expecting to need to do.

On the subject of mags, I noticed today during assembly and tuning that I have two different Vudoo mags.
The feed ramp on the mag pictured right is much more shallow, and functions flawlessly, while the mag pictured left does not feed as consistently. I can’t imagine that would be wear, is there multiple generations?
Per usual, thanks in advance!

Ukraine war Bullshit.

not arguing but IMO
Korea caught Truman flat footed. it was an open invasion 1 country of another. new countries with dictators not democratic really. got complex when MacArthur went too far north. in the 1950 setting don't think Truman saw a choice. V N was interference in essentially a civil war defending a dictatorship against a communist uprising. Tonkin was a FU that was used to up the ante. domino theory was the excuse. as said the red scare.
my odd idea about Gulf 1 is that we could have told Saddam that he was gonna be our main source of oil and the price is the price-don't fuck with us or else. Panama was likely about drugs and Noriega being too unstable to leave with control of the canal? of course carter gave it away anyway. now we have China there which is worse than Noriega. WW2 was to save Stalin in Europe, save the Brits while keeping them as a 3rd rate power which is where they were headed anyway. the Pacific was pushed for by the missionaries in China who wanted FDR to make Japan get out. they weren't going to so the sanctions and PH as a result which FDR wanted anyway to get in the war and make US power supreme in Pacific. a lot of $ to be made there.
banana wars,Philippines,Cuba were for big sugar and united fruit. Syria,Iraq,AFG MIC wars for profit and power and usual mindless installation of "democracy". in fact the rag heads were happy with their savage pre civilization world. but,can you blame anyone for not wanting the abortion that we are growing here to be installed in your world by force? is the corruption, the surveillance, the perversion, the theft our our labors that is out of control something to die for or to push on another society? now we are trying to start shit with Russia to protect a source of that corruption and a elite land grab and more MIC profit. while we are at it lets start a war with Iran so Israel will become a ME hegemon and may some more $s for black rock.

U.S. Army/Navy/USMC M14-based sniper and DMR/SDM rifles circa late-1960s to late 201Xs

Note the Small Caliber Data Sheets post the "Ideal" loading, while Lake City Army Ammunition Plant might have daily, weekly, or monthly deviations due to differences in primer and powder lot performance to meet military acceptance.

M118 Special Ball designation came once Lake City could no longer load ammo that would meet Army specified standards for Match ammunition. This carried over to M118 Long Range with Sierra 175 Match Kings and snipers would lament bad lots as coming from "Lake Shitty."

Performance started tanking so badly that USSOCOM specified commercial Federal Gold Medal Match 2 (175 grain Sierra Match Kings) loaded at the Anoka, Minnesota factory as 7.62mm Mark 316 -- almost the same cartridge but held to USSOCOM precision requirements.

It says something when SOCOM would rather pay for precision 7.62 than use mediocre Army-provided "Free" ammo.

737R 6 Dasher Build - Rounds Sticking In Chamber

I built a 737R 6 Dasher a few months ago and got everything pretty close to where I want it. I took it out to a prairie dog shoot over the last week and experienced my rounds sticking into the rifling after about 100 rounds. A cartridge closed into battery slightly hard which prompted me to eject it, when I did it ejected hard and pulled the case out without the bullet.

I'm about .010" off the lands according to the old school method of finding the lands via the feel of an ejector-less bolt. I started with .015" and experienced more consistent muzzle velocities at .010" and stopped there. Before my trip I shot pretty extensively without seeing any issues. I'm loading off a Dillon XL750 and the dies are on a dedicated tool head. I use the same shell holder slot to seat all my rounds. I'm using Redding type S with a micrometer seating die.

Before my trip I went out and shot 50 rounds at the range and did not clean it. About a week later was day 1 of my shoot and I shot about 50 rounds and experienced my first stuck round. I unstuck the round (very easily) with my cleaning rod and cleaned the rifle. Cartridges were entering into battery and ejected without a problem. The next day I shot about 100 without a single issue and then it popped up again. This time I unstuck the round and cleaned the powder out and put another round in with the same result. I cleared the bullet and have not cleaned it in case the community here suggests I take a look at something.

Is this carbon ring buildup or something else? Should I back off and increase my land jump?

Remember the maryland "dad" that got deported?

While entitled to due process… how expensive would it have been to have him shanked in a Salvadoran jail?

I mean, for less than the cost of the jet fuel used to taxi the plane to the takeoff ramp… he could have had his due process waived…. You know… officially.

And a Salvadoran prison guard would have gotten a new tin roof on his mud shack. Win win!

Opportunity lost….
