I’m certain if Harvard or Columbia applied for a government grant to study the possibility of building bananas on the US, millions would be awarded.

Since no one is replying, let me see if I can help.

The fundamentals of marksmanship are muzzle management and trigger finger discipline. Put the muzzle on the target, press the trigger in a manner that does not move the muzzle, and you will hit the target.

That's why most benchrest shooters use very light triggers, so light they would not be safe in the field. That's the role of the two-stage trigger. A first stage to make the rifle safe to use in the field, and a much lighter second stage for a release that does not disturb the muzzle.

What are you trying to accomplish? Most are seeking a heavier first stage for safety and a light second stage for accuracy. A 3.5-pound second stage is counterproductive. You might call TriggerTech, but I suspect their trigger is not designed for what you are trying to accomplish. You might be happier with a single stage or try a 3.5-pound first stage and a 1.5-pound second stage.

Damn, I wish I could take them but I have 2 Border Collie's and 1 Blue Heeler in teh house now. The latest BC looks to be about their age.
Although not technically rescues, they were accepted from people who couldn't care for them properly and needed to find homes for them and the wife couldn't say no.

My hat is off to you for putting in the effort to save these guys!

I actually never used the SOLGW before. I'm swapping out a Fortis 'switch' handguard for SOL brand on this upper. I got not bitches about the Fortis, and I like the feel and shape of them to . But I am re barrelling to Rifle length gas. So going Long handguard and people say the SOL have best lockup/rigid in the market.
