Wtf is this lone survivor or lone runner stuff about?

Every Hollywood Seal is full of shit
Lutrell, Kyle, O’Neil …

Lutrell is especially bad since the taliban release the tape of the ambush and it was literally a 8v4 and in his book he makes it sound like it’s the alamos last stand. They also just followed their foot step and walk up to them, there was no goat herders and murder vote.

Wtf is this lone survivor or lone runner stuff about?

That is such BS, Luttrell lied on the AAR and then kept up the lie and wrote a book. The Navy might have pushed the narrative a bit for the good PR, but he is the one that made the whole thing up. He got busted and is now trying to cover his ass.

Interesting. I did not know that. I was going off his own admission but it makes sense that he would lie about that as a lot of "confessions" are only telling half of a lie.

Vortex RazorHD Gen III 6-36x56 vs NF ATACR 7-35x56

I run the Gen 3 razor no complaints but with extra money is the zco TT march or any other brand of scope going to give me any gain...... I only shoot elr type matches nightforce krg and light class.

My main thing is a lot of mils in scope like the Gen 3 giving me 36 mils which is helpful.

I like the warranty with vortex and there here in usa I had a minox and got rid of it only because I didn't want to ship to Germany if something went wrong.

My number is 916-628-3490 :)

So. Many. New. Calibers.

I'm one of those guys who has tried a lot of different cartridges as long as it makes sense (in my head...and there's no guarantee there).

I got into "precision rifles" with a .308 about two decades ago, upgrading from the old .30-06 and .30-30 myself. Then there was the .223 as a trainer. Then about 2009 I got into the .260 Master Race for the ballistics and recoil improvement over the .308.

Since then, I've dabbled in quite a few of the .264 diameter cartridges (currently have [3] Creeds, [2] 6.5x47s, and [1] .260). I also dropped to a couple of 6mms (6 Creed and GT). Plus, I fell in love with the 7mm mags for killing deer around here as I feel they balance ballistics with terminal performance amazingly well.

Now that I've tried most all of what I've wanted to, I'll probably slowly narrow my cartridges back to 3-4 as barrels burn out. My problem is that I don't have a cartridge that doesn't do what it was intended to do - very well.

Bonus (for me) that I got a chance to tinker around with stuff. As I don't recycle brass from one barrel to another, really I am only out the cost of a set of dies to experiment. That doesn't bother me.

What's the Go-To 223 Brass Now?

I have 500 lapua brass from a couple years ago that died after 3-4 firings. Granted I was pushing 88s pretty hard.

I switched to starline and haven’t noticed a decrease in accuracy or consistency and the price is right. I only have 1 firing on the starline so far and also fire formed 1000 for my 223ai with great results.

Moving forward I’m planning on sticking with starline. Much cheaper and slightly more capacity than my lapua.

Super weird issues on my .300 Norma Mag reloads

Have always wondered about the S&B primers. Now I know. I also had a similar experience was Wolf LR Magnum Primers. I usually use them for smaller cartridges. One day I decided to test it out on a WM. They worked, but had a few hang fires. But at least they fired. While they are great primers for smaller cartridges. I'll stick with real Magnum primers for the big stuff.

Eurooptic.com?

No doubt they are 100%. I only started this thread because the website was completely new from the last time I was there and seen something that could have been fishiness. Can't be too careful these days.

Aftet hearing it was legit I made the mistake of resetting my password and logging in. That simple password reset cost me over $3k.

No pitchforks here.

CIVIL ASSET FORFEITURE AND FLYING THE FRIENDLY SKIES

The founding fathers never imagined that the people would have to fear their possessions would be taken from them by the new constitutional Republic they created. Ohh wait, they actually saw it coming and enumerated the God given rights of the people that this new government should not infringe upon and the solution to it when it did happen. Some fellows came along and figured out how to sell safety and fear along with keeping the populace fat, stoopid, ignorant and happy while they infringed.
They have managed to milk the country dry and the populace is nothing more than a tax slave.

Nightforce Ultramount vs Unimount

I went with the unimount just because it looked like there is more space between the rings and the rear ring is farther back on the unimount. I like to get the rear ring as close to the ocular bell as possible to minimize the effects of leverage in case the bell takes a hit.

In any case, one thing I found disappointing with the nightforce mounts is the lack of options for mounting a top dot. I found that using the options from nightforce too high. I did find a company by the name of Koeng that offers mounting plates for mounts, like the nightforce and Leupold stuff.
