6mm BR

This is a 6BR barrel that I picked up used for $200. The person I purchased it from has no information on this barrel as he bought it for the action. All we know is that it’s a 1-10” twist.
No manufacturer or gunsmith name on it.
Savage style barrel nut.
Where would you go from here?
I only have around 35 GM205M primers but I will search out more if testing proves that group sizes are smaller than with BR-4’s
From my limited testing it seems that it may be the case.
That’s the next test I will be doing this weekend.
The snow is just starting to clear from our range and a good spring cleaning and target stand repair is needed

This is why one needs a firearm even when on the water. You never know when you will have to repel borders.

Rangefinding binoculars for archery

I am about to upgrade my Leica HDB's to a newer unit. The ranging on close targets less than 100 yards can be a bit off depending on how reflective the target it. I will get a few yard difference ranging a Morrell field target bale (big round flat target) or ranging the water-resistant target faces that are pretty shiny. They will be used mostly for ranging 3D targets, which all the Delta/Mckinsey 3D targets seem to have about the same sheen. My sons Sig Kilo 6k's do not do this, they are much more accurate at ranging, glass is just no where near the Leica glass. Having a RFB that is more accurate than the older HDB can mean the difference in catching a 12 or dropping into an 8 or a 10. So I am looking at the Sig Kilo 10k Gen2, Leica Pro 10x42, or the Vetronix 10x42. Does anyone have experience using them for archery ? Or even just playing with them at close range ?

THANKS!

Tariff effects on imported optics

Yes. I guess you didn't read my entire post 918. What does it even mean to "buy American" anymore? With scopes it frequently means assembled in the U.S. But if the parts come from outside the U.S. - like Japanese glass for example - those parts will be subject to a tariff. And even if a scope is assembled in the U.S. from parts made in the U.S., what about the materials used to mfg. those parts, like aluminum for instance? And if all the foreign made scopes start costing 20-30% more, don't you think U.S. companies will also raise their prices because they can, since we no longer have the option of buying a foreign made scope at a competitive price?

But you are right, you can always choose not to buy anything at all, although I hope you have a bunch of ammo set aside, don't shoot much, or are ok with going to the range, pointing your rifle at targets and making "pew pew" noises so you don't have to actually use any ammo.

Your PVA prefit experience

Good morning, All
The shop phones are having issues. We can see the calls come in but as soon as we pick up the phone there's nothing on the other side. I've tried calling out and it seems like nothing is outgoing either. I do have a list of the numbers that called this morning so far and will be returning calls as soon as we have the system working again. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Phones are fixed, many thanks to @padom for taking care of us. I'm returning missed calls now. If you're expecting a call back and I miss you, sorry about that. Please call and we'll get you taken care of right away.

Any F1 racing fans?

When there are lots of driver changing seats you need 4-5 races compared to 20 years ago it was 1-2 races maximum.

The budget restriction on sims, wind tunnel, track time makes it impossible to get the driver, crew, and car on the same page.

They just can’t get enough hours to set up cars differently, so by default they have to make both cars match the primary driver in the beginning of the season. Especially if he’s a carryover. They need both cars data.

That hamstrings the second driver immensely with a new team.

Thorroclean & Bronze Brush Bore Cleaning Result.

How is this still going on??

This is the same website that is full of you do you and don’t look over the fence. And people are arguing over what and how to clean a 600$ barrel.

Actions have consequences good or bad.

If some guys want to use X chemical use it..some guys hate X chemical , don’t use it.

It’s really not that hard.

The best part is the same guys who argue with Frank about barrels are the same guys who ask him what they should do in their next build.

Bunch of retarded hypocrites

I’d rather see another AI vs XYZ action than another cleaning thread.
