Selling my labradar with sight, external battery, and arca mount with quad pod legs. Small crack in the top protective shell for the housing and has not affected the consistency at all. I got a Xero on sale so I am letting this go, but compared them and it still works perfectly.

For sale is my McMillan A6 Edge rifle bedded to an Impact 737r I built as a trainer and to shoot Tac class but liked the NRL hunter style matches more for the time I have to shoot and never take her out. Barrel is a Proof 1:10 26" competition contour .308 prefit with just under 100 rounds. Only shot factory 175 SMKs on it and never worked up a load but it held about .5" for 10 shots at 2690 fps. Hawkins DBM and full length arca. No trigger, need for another build.

Kept in humidity controlled safe, with thread/crown protector on any time the brake wasn't on it. Just looking to sell so I can put all my rifles onto origin actions for consistency. Shoots great.

For those running the Magnus RR line of cans any feedback? Thoughts on the full size RR vs. S-RR? I am looking for a new can for the AT-XC (6mm/6.5mm) as I plan to move the current Ultra7 Gen 2 over to one of my hunting sticks. I know there's some fanfare with the Area419 Maverick in this segment as well but I have no experience with their cans and I have never seen any in stock or for sale anywhere.

I have a 6.5 Creedmoor that is a custom built hunting rifle. On the first couple shots after cleaning I get horrible pressure signs . It goes away around the 4th shot. Hard bolt lift, bolt swipe, ejector marking. Doesn't matter if its factory or hand loads. Barrel has less than 50 rounds on it, proof carbon fiber. Has anyone delt with this before? It still does it when I put lock ease in the barrel also?

I am currently running 6GT with a Bighorn Origin in an ACC chassis and since day one having issues with mags.

i have tried 2 x 10rnd 308 mdt poly mags and 1 x 10rnd 308 metal mag. I always had to advance every round in the poly mag and the metal mag was not 100% reliable but for the most part acceptable.

My local matches like to run higher stage round count so I wanted to add the Area 410 +4 with the 10 rnd and also the SAP 2 round. Figuring I would use 12/13 and have 2 backup. I tried adding the A419 + 4 to the 10rnd and it just didn’t work. I stretched the spring but it kept collapsing and resetting in a way.

Suggestion on a Mag I could add the A419 +4 or another mag that would work with my current setup would be greatly appreciated. I know the ARC mag was suggested as well the mdt poly metal but wondering on matching the Origin/ACC.

I have decided on the 7 SAUM as my next bolt gun to build as I don’t have a 7mm in my arsenal yet.

I plan to use a big horn orgin action as it’s proven and priced well. What length action would you recommend? I’m thinking I need a LA just to take advantage of the 180 grain projectiles.

I’m looking for suggestions on where to hunt cow elk this October, I should be off the entire month. I would go for bull, but I don’t have a place to hang the head so I’m just after the meat and hide. I hunted elk in Idaho unit 29 three times between 1998-2003 and was successful each time; these were solo back pack rifle hunts. Despite being a Kentucky resident since 2005, I have an Idaho lifetime hunting license I bought when I lived there years ago, but I’m not limiting my search to just Idaho. I could put in for a controlled hunt tag for cow in unit 29, but they only gave out 35 of them in 2024, there used to be over 100, and that hunt is in November and my vacation is in October, so it’s a no go. There are some October cow hunts in other areas, like Hells Canyon, but it’s farther to drive and would require a guide as it’s almost all private land.

I’m willing to hire a guide if need be. Some of the cow hunts on bookyourhunt.com and worldwidetrophyadventurs.com are on private land which is very temping. Also, Jokerswildoutdoors.com has a cow hunt on both private a public land.

Have any of you ever booked a hunt using the above websites? If so, would you do it again?

I could also try for a bull tag in unit 29 as they gave out 180 of them last year. Heck, three of my dear heads are hanging in Monnik Beer Company in Louisville, maybe they could hang a bull if I got one .

I’m open to any and all suggestions. I’m still in decent enough shape to backpack hunt.
