So I have ran this same setup for about 900 rounds now and has been a solid performer.

Today mid range session my zero shifted 8mils up. I couldn't understand what was going on and went to a 100 meter paper range. I checked torque specs on everything ( action, rings, base) nothing was loose. I re-zerod the gun and everything grouped fine and held zero.

My thoughts are something in the optic shifted.
Next step is checking the torque spec on the barrel and head back to the range to confirm.

Anyone ever come across an issue like this?

Since the B14r heavy worked out so well I went further down the Bergara rabbit hole with this BMR.

Have a particular use in mind and it’s doing exactly what I need it to do.



Went ahead and did the factory trigger mod which is now set at 20oz. Bedded the lug and tang then gave it a pseudo tiger stripe camo paint job.

Being discrete is a priority so subsonic was a necessity. Per the Athlon and my ear a good many supposed subs aren’t, at least out of this rifle.

They are running at about 990, a little faster than claimed.

Here are a couple groups with the above load. Orange 1” dot, lower right corner is 3 shots at my 25yd zero. Higher group used the middle row left dot as an aim point but at 50yds.



Scope is a basic Leupold 2-7 rimfire.

Looking to buy a scope for a new 7prc rifle. Looking for a scope that will be used 98% of the time in hunting situations and have the ability to dial for distance as needed. I have looked at many different options and the newer Z5i+ offering seems very interesting.

Does anyone have one of these that could give some insight on holding zero? Not necessarily looking for a drop test, but how does it hold up during normal use? Recoil, small falls, bumps, transporting from home to hunting spot. Any other practical review would be welcome.

I recently threw together an 11.5 to run as a dedicated suppressor host for a YHM Fat Cat. When I ran some PMC m855 over a Garmin chronograph I got ~2750 fps, which is about what I usually get with that ammo out of an 11.5. When I ran the 55gr Sabre Blades over the same Chronograph, I got around ~2850.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Just wondering because just shooting the stuff, I got the impression that it was a bit underpowered, because I had to open my gas block up a tick to get it to run the way I like. 2850 is pretty fast out of an 11.5.

Black Arc 53gr only get me 2900 by comparison and the Black Arc load is hot.
