I have not purchased reloading supplies in quite a while. Normally I will stack deep essentials when the opportunity arises.

Specifically I am looking at adding more primers but I have noticed that prices are still elevated. I still have a stash so I am not in a hurry but it would be nice to top up.

Ideally I will buy CCI 400 and CCI 500 as my primary staples so those typically get preferable treatment. At first glance I saw some Magtech that were cheap but I have no experience with them.

My main question is which aggregation sites do you guys like to use? I used to frequent AmmoSeek but I'm not sure if there are others that I should be looking at as well.

Any other suggestions for places to frequent would be helpful. The regular ones like Midway, Natches, Powder Valley are on the list but I recently priced out the exact same product at one site vs another and for the exact same product one was over $50 more expensive even though they had a 'sale' going on and had free hazmat. In other words the regular price including shipping and hazmat at one site was cheaper than the sale price w/free hazmat.

Basically put it still seems sort of like a free for all as far as supplies go so I am seeking additional input from the peanut gallery.

A while back I remember reading about replacement ear pieces for the Otto Noizebarrier's that improved comfort / performance. Anyone got a recommendation? I finally got the Otto's and I want to have some extras on hand for the summer season.

when you start reloading / testing a new bullet, how much do you set your bullet back from the lands?
No BR-loads, which I know, some do set the bullets right into the lands, but for "normal" rifles.

I´m starting f.e. with the
- .224ish set back around .02"
- .308ish set back around .04"

Where do you start and how close to the lands would you go?

Considering loading precision rifle rounds on a Dillon 550. Proposed order of operation, station 1 sizing die, station 2 mandrel die, station 3 powder funnel, station 4 seating die.

I use a universal decapping die and prime off the press so those steps aren't going to be moved to the 550.

Is anyone sizing and seating on the same tool head? If so what results or issues have you seen?

Removed these from my SBS. Barrel was cut/crowned to 12.5", cerakoted graphite black, had the Vang Comp port system, and gold bead sight installed all done by Vang Comp. Chisel Machining 870 stock still looks new, has RMR mounting plate on top and kick-eez recoil pad, compatible with any Remington 870 as far as I'm aware.
