I am about to finish building out a .22 ARC AR for coyotes and foxes at night. I am scheduled to go to Florida in February on a hog hunt. I typically use a 6.8 SPC AR-15 or my .308 AR-10. Will the.22 ARC be effective on hogs out to about 300 yards or should I go ahead and build a .6mm ARC upper next. The .22 ARC is going to get a dedicated thermal later this year after taxes.

Hi hide,I have been running a gen 3 Razor 6-36 on my 6.5C and at 1k and beyond I am starting to have trouble seeing hits.Guess the old eyes are getting worse.Would upgrading to better glass in a Schmidt pm2 or a Zero comp help?wanted opinions on anyone who owns or used these more expensive optics comparing to a Razor.selling the Razor I would still have to choke up 2k or better. With the X4 FCS being specifically targeted at 30mm tube scopes with 30mm objectives, what do folks think will be the best options for it in the following categories?

1) 1-X LPVO
2) 2-X Medium Power/SPR
3) any high magnification contenders?

of course the choices will be refined as we know more, but it will help to have a reference list

so far my initial thoughts is that the March Shorty 1-10 will be very compelling if it fits the rings, and those with more of a focus on the low end might prefer the Vudu options.

I'm not 100% sure there's any 2-10 or 2-12 options that have objective diameters small enough?

I have read the existing threads I can find on this 3-18, they seem to peeter out sometime last year. Who out there has some time behind one? How are they doing as far as tracking, reliability, etc? The form factor is what I am looking for and I have always been a big DMR fan but damn the DMR3 is too heavy for whaI I am doing.

If anyone has owned both how does the 3-18 compare to the 5-25?

General thoughts are also welcome from those who have actually used these scopes. Thank you

I finally mounted my NF scope on a GG&G scope base w integral rings and I think something isn't right.

I torqued the screws per spec but look at the gap all around on the the rings. I assumed that there would be no gap.
If you have one of these QD mounts please post pics of your assembled mount.

I threw this up a few days ago in the Bolt Action section. I wished I'd of listed it here as I failed to realize SH has a section devoted to this stuff. A friend gave me one of these original bases to reproduce. I ran the artifact piece through the metrology lab and was able to replicate everything.

I made an initial run of 20 pieces. They came off the mill earlier today and are in the tumbler now. Last thing to do is blast finish them, box em up, and send them off to the ano shop.

Mine came in today, so I went to the range and picked it up. Had to test it out, so I took the Mask HD with me, and put 100 CCI SV’s through it, and it ran perfect. No sights, and was hitting challenge tree gongs at 10 yards about 5/10 times. Not a great ratio, but considering this thing doesn’t even have iron sights on it, not bad for instinctual shooting.

I have a new chamber reamer coming, and rather than burying it in a brand new $800 barrel right off the rip, I need to cut a new test chamber.

Looking for heavy profile 26" non carbon fiber barrels. Stainless, etc, doesn't matter.

Sightron SVIII 5-40x56 with LRM reticle & Spuhr 7602 (40mm, 1.5", 20 moa). Scope has had one range trip on top of the wife's 300 PRC MRAD and she decided she wants to go back to an Xmas tree reticle. Fantastic shape. I bought this and the Spuhr mount new. I'm still trying to locate the Spuhr box but the Sightron comes with box and all goodies from the factory.

It has 10 meter parallax, 40mm tube, LRM reticle and plenty of elevation. She was able to dial to 2,400 yards with 300 PRC (20 moa mount plus built in 10 moa on the MRAD).
