Any one know if the MDT low rider cheek pad fits an MPA matrix chassis? Do the holes line up on the cheek pad with the holes in the chassis?

Please help me understand the new trend of an LPVO with an offset red dot. Isn't the whole point of an LPVO to have a true 1x while having the ability to run magnification when needed? Adding a red dot adds cost, weight and something else to fail (and batteries to think about).

Why don't more run a 2.5-15 or 3-15 with an offset red dot if they are doing the scope / dot combo?

Not trying to stir the pot, but it seems a lot of guys have trained with a dot to do room to room stuff and would rather not transition to an LPVO for similar task. This is coming from a guy who has no real world experience, I just don't see the addition of a red dot on an LPVO necessary unless the scope doesn't go to a true 1x.

The pic mount is perfect, arca mount shows signs of use, not from being used much just from being an Accutac Arca!

The Arca QD lever on Accutacs always shows wear on every one I’ve had (anodize doesn’t hold up perfectly) no clue why. I tried to get a clean photo of what I mean.

Original packaging is included with both radios. These 857’s are no longer made. They are excellent radios that handle HF/VHF/UHF. Both radios are the U.S. version. They Are not the lower powered radios from outside the U.S. Will not include the batteries, as I’m not sure I can ship them. If I can, then they’ll be included. I'm a pretty big fan of the old laser sights. These were the hottest thing going in the late 80's and early 90's. In 1984, Arnold's long slide AMT Hardballer with a laser sight in Terminator got the ball rolling. While a true functioning laser, there was a line running from the laser to a cable that connected to an external power supply. To fire the laser, Arnold Schwarzenegger had to reach into his coat pocket with his other hand and flip a switch.


This leads to the topic of my next build. The 1985 episode of Miami Vice, Season Two, episode "Bushido". This features a deep cover Russian sleeper agent. In the climax of the episode he is armed with a CAR-15 with a 90 round MWG drum magazine and Laser Products Corporation Laser sight.




I've been looking for a vintage LPC sight, but to no avail...so I have to build one. I already have an NFA registered CAR-15 and an MWG 90 round drum mag.
