Took bit of a hiatus in shooting over the past several years. Really, took a break from a lot of hobbies and let work consume me. I'm finally getting back at it, was shooing a 6XC mainly, but today decided on the 300 PRC. Hopefully, I made the right choice! Plan on getting out to a mile and back into some long range comps. Went with a Sig Sauer Cross Sawtooth and I have an unused Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x56 that'll top if off. Any suggestions on ammo to get me started and back into the long range shooting? For sale is one of the last 20 LMT MRGG 14.5" 6.5 MRP-H Green MLOK 12.5 Upper Receivers. $2000 Venmo or Zelle.

The upper has no charging handle or BCG. Both are currently available from online vendors. They were not when I got the upper, but I used a BCG and charging handle from another gun. The gun includes an LMT MWS torque wrench.

The upper has a Rearden RC2 that would take the upper to 16.1", or if you prefer, I can send the original bird cage that came with the upper.

So, I have a rifle from Mirage ULR. He recommended a starting load of 140gr of either N570 or 50bmg with a 400gr Cutting edge Laser cut bullet, but I went with a 450gr bullet. Started with 135gr of both powders, with a 136 gr follow up. The N570 at 135gr got a velocity of 2850 fps, a bit over Desert Techs 447gr claimed 2730. I did not try the 136gr at this time. The 50bmg powder seemed 300fps slower. Odd
I got a big jug of N570, and ordered 150 more projectiles. Right now I am just collecting data. I plan to dial in the round after I get a 50bmg suppressor. I shook the range ceiling and caused rain with every shot.
