Gunsmith for barrel chambering

I’m looking for recommendations for someone to chamber and thread a barrel for me. Local to Central Texas would be great but I don’t mind sending it off for quality work. I have a proof CF blank, needing it chambered in 7PRC, threaded for a Nanook action, and muzzle crowned and threaded. I know there’s a lot of options, I just want to hear who yall trust.

San Antonio for 3 weeks.

Looks like i am headed to San Antonio for 3 weeks of work. Will east of town for 3 weeks of work. As of now I will be driving to Texas and will be my first time in the great state. Is there any ranges open to the public or pay a guest fee. Any good stores to checkout dealing with the shooting world. Also where's the best place to get beef brisket at. I wont forgive myself if i dont eat some while visiting. Hopefully the weather is way better than here in Virginia lol. Thanks again

Report: Trump Transition Team Looks to Pull U.S. out of W.H.O. ‘On Day One’.

The U.S. will exit the globalist World Health Organization (W.H.O.) on day one of President-elect Donald Trump’s new administration taking power, a report Sunday predicts.
The U.S. is the W.H.O.’s largest single donor. It provides the home to over 8,000 career bureaucrats with about 16 percent of its budget, which in 2024 stood at U.S.$6.83 billion.
It has previously been criticised by conservative voices for its extraordinary drain on U.S. taxpayer funds while Trump has called it a slave to China’s own global ambitions.
According to the Financial Times, members of Trump’s team told the experts of their intention to announce a withdrawal from the Geneva-based health body on January 20 — inauguration day.
The departure would remove the W.H.O.’s biggest source of funds in one fell swoop. The FT report notes the withdrawal will complete a process Trump started last time he was in office:
In 2020, Trump initiated the process to leave the WHO as Covid-19 spread, accusing the agency of being under China’s control. But the process was never finished and his successor Joe Biden restarted relations with the agency on his first day of office in 2021.
Experts have been told that some in Trump’s team want to move much faster this time around after initiating the process immediately.
Ashish Jha, Biden’s former White House coronavirus response co-ordinator and dean of Brown University’s school of public health, told the outlet the transition team wanted Trump to withdraw on the first day because of the “symbolism” of reversing Biden’s own inauguration-day move.
“There are lots of people who are going to be part of the inner circle of the administration who do not trust the W.H.O. and want to symbolically show on day one that they are out,” he said.
The Trump transition team did not comment directly on the potential withdrawal. One person familiar with the plans told the FT: “The same W.H.O. that we left in the first administration? It seems like we wouldn’t much care what they have to say.”
Trump previously criticized the W.H.O. for siding with China despite heavy criticism for their lack of transparency about the coronavirus and its spread and origins, as Breitbart News reported.
“They seem to be very China-centric,” he said in April, 2020. “That’s a nice way of saying it, but they seem to be very China-centric, and they seem to err always on the side of China.”

AND THEN THE UNITED NATIONS!

New Lube for me

A friend told about CherryBalmz lube and balms. https://www.cherrybalmz.com/ I have been using Otis dry lube for my Kidd SG and all of my rimfire's. But, my SG still does not do well in cold weather. His Kidd does about the same as mine in cold weather. He used their "Winter Balm" for extreme cold weather. in 20 degree weather and it worked 100%. I got mine lubed and ready for this week. I will let you know how it works. I got the buy 2 get one free. I got the Bolt Balm, winter, and rimfire, they are tiny bottles, it takes very little, should last a long time.

Spotting scope setup

I know being directly behind the shooter is the best place for setup with a spotting scope.

Has anyone noticed if distance behind the shooter and or height of the spotter makes a noticeable difference?

Example:

Spotter 1 sets up just behind the shooter's feet and is sitting in a chair.

Spotter 2 is 6-8' behind the shooter, using a proper height tripod, while standing.

Spotter 3 is side by side, prone, using the rifle scope.

Is one position better or more consistent than another.
Why?

Old man with dementia needed help finding his wife

Instead he got pigs - and y’all can guess the rest . And if you’re still that dense - the rest is taken to the ground - punched multiple times - electro torture, false arrest and a slew of charges made up against him .
Because of course they have to beat old men or ladies instead of any real criminals- imagine how fucking scared they be then against a real thug or banger

Seeking guidance on analogue(s) to SR-762 Extractor

My son and I both have SR-762’s; his a 2016 version, mine from 2019.
I can find spares like pistons, firing pins, gas regulators, cam pins, regulator detent clip, etc, but I can’t find extractors anywhere, which is the most likely part to fail.
Any guidance would be appreciated on an extractor from another .308 AR platform that would work.
I could have a gunsmith machine me a couple, but I’d tether rely on something manufactured with the processes required for the part to have the required resilience.

Firearms Impact precision 737 action

Impact 737 with a magnum bolt was a hunting gun and finished in FDE. Full transparency it has a few spots that are messed up in the finish …see pictures. Mechanical it works perfect. Bought as a project action but picked a new one up so this one is cheap.
$950
