Has anyone purchased a Remington 700, shouldered Pre-fit from Christiansen Arms? I’m curious as to how they can make prefit barrels for factory 700 actions with varying specs over the years. Anyone have experience with them or know how they do it?
Obviously the end user has to check headspace prior to use.

The last item on my bucket list is shooting a steel target at 1000yds. The closest 1000yd rifle range to my home is California tactical academy near lake Piru, CA.
I have never shot there and what like to hear from anyone who has experienced shooting there at 1000yds. Do I have to qualify and have a spotter to shoot 1000yds? Should I shoot paper and if so can I drive to the target area? I have over 10years of experience shooting 223 Remington at 400 to 625yds at Pala shooting range. My farthest distance is 862yds with a 243 Winchester. I am planning to do this in April for my 84th BD. I will have acquired a Savage 110 tactical in 6.5 Creedmoor by then and already have the Arken scope. Thanks in advance for any info.

This is a custom-made 16" AXMC/SA forend tube with two folded Atlas 9-13" bipod legs. Super stable; lowered gravity center felt like a TRG set-up. It can be rotated and lockable. The last picture shows the look on my AXSA.

So as the title suggests, I need a compact scope and the only one I've ever owned are several NF 4-16x42's, which is not one of the scopes I will be considering due to the minimum magnification of 20X. Above all else the most important part of this decision is the GLASS.

Scopes on the short list are:

Kahles 328i
Schmidt and Bender 5-20 Ultra Short

I have a ZCO 5-27, have had 4 Schmidt and Bender's (4-16's and 5-25's) and a Kahles 6-24, so I know the quality of the manufacturers and what they bring to the table, however since the quality of the glass is far more important to me then other features, I need to ask from people that have owned them or done side by side comparisons.

Did I mention the glass is important? Other than that, eyebox and how easy it is to get behind is at the top of the list as well. All other features are a moot point as the scopes will do what I need them to.
