I have a Howa Mini Action 300 Blk. I just bought the action and then bought a Bell and Carlson Stock. Stock fits action like a glove but there is play further down the barrel. Pretty obvious flex between stock and barrel if you apply pressure. All that being said is there any reason to bed a 300 blk? Would it really affect a 100-150 yard shot? I am thinking no, but would like to hear from some wiser folks. Thanks!

I am new to Precision shooting so take it easy.

I am thinking about acquiring a Sig Kilo 3K handheld LRF and a Samsung Table to install the Ballistic software of choice.

My question is: can the software get the weather data from the LRF?

I know most people just use their smart phone, but I don't wish to use a smart phone.

The Kilo 3K advertises that it has the data sensor to do real time calculations.

I understand that most people use a Kestral for getting their weather data, but I am not sure that I am at that point to spend that kind of money.

By starting with just a LRF and a tablet, it would get me started and if need I can get a Kestral later if needed.

Does anybody have a 'known good' G7 BC for the 175gr .308 SMK?

I get anywhere from .239 to .253 depending on which combination of software/data I use.

The closest "good" data I could find is a .240 G7 BC cited here on the Hide by Mr. Litz for the .308 178gr AMAX (published .495 G1 BC) -- so I'm guessing a good G7 number for the .308 175 SMK will be very close to that?

Also if low i.e. single digit SD's arent doable in this caliber what is the ideal or goal SD range for you?
