Suppressors Want another 30 Cal Suppressor, considering Jolene S

I am looking to pick up another 30 cal rifle suppressor. I have a few suppressors but haven’t purchased one in several years other than an OCL Lithium 9 I just ordered that was motivated by a purchase of a Marlin 1894 SPL 357 Mag. My main center fire rifle can is an Omega 300 I picked up 9ish years ago. I am happy with it and use it in both direct threat configuration and with the Area 419 mount set up. I often end up shooting 2 + rifles when I go to the range and would like to have second suppress for that.

The main rifle I will use this suppressor on is a Christensen Arms Ridgeline 6.5 Creedmoor barreled action in a Grayboe Phoenix stick so wanting to go with something fairly light weight. I also am interested in recoil reduction and use my Omega with the anchor break as it does reduce recoil more than the flat front cap.

The Omega 300 is fairly short and not heavy with a Rearden titanium direct thread mount so I’m tempted to just go for an Omega 300 DTM as it seems like a good value and something I am already familiar with. But when doing some research the Jolene S keeps coming up as a light weight option that gets great reviews for not much more than the Omega DTM and it’s a few ounces less.

I’m about set to just go with the Jolene S but wanting to do a final check and get input. Seems like a great light weight option for a good price. Will I be giving up any recoil reduction compared to an Omega 300 with the anchor break? Should I just spend the extra money and get a Scythe Ti?

CBS Considering Settling $10 Billion Lawsuit by Trump For Deceptively Editing ’60 Minutes’ Interview with Kamala Harris.

CBS is considering settling a $10 billion lawsuit brought by Trump over its deceptively edited ’60 Minutes’ interview with Kamala Harris.
CBS executives are reportedly worried ongoing litigation with President Trump will interfere with a merger with Skydance.
“Paramount, owner of CBS, its namesake studio and several cable channels, has a major piece of business in front of the new administration: its planned merger with Skydance Media,” The Wall Street Journal reported. “It’s become clear to executives at both companies that Trump’s dissatisfaction with CBS News will make the review tougher than they anticipated, and that they’ll likely need to offer concessions to win approval, people familiar with the situation said.”
In October President Trump sued CBS News for $10 billion for deceptively editing its ’60 Minutes’ interview with Kamala Harris.
“President Trump brings this action to redress the immense harm caused to him, to his campaign, and to tens of millions of citizens in Texas and across America by CBS’s deceptive broadcasting conduct,” the lawsuit stated, according to Fox News.
Fake news 60 Minutes was caught editing Kamala’s answers to make her sound coherent and normal.
In fact it was so bad that ’60 Minutes’ spliced her nonsensical answer and replaced it with a completely separate sentence she said earlier in the interview.

Mixing and matching questions and answers. This isn’t journalism. It’s fraud.

Here is the original 60 Minutes exchange:
Bill Whitaker: But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening?
Kamala Harris: Well, Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by or a result of many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region.

And here is ’60 Minutes” edited exchange:
Bill Whitaker: But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening?
Kamala Harris: We are not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.
WATCH:
Holy. Shit.
60 Minutes cut Kamala’s nonsense answer on Israel and replaced it with a completely seperate sentence she said earlier in the interview…

I'm liking all of the lawsuits against the lying media! Lies are starting to get expensive.

In tonight's episode of "How the 'Duck' Quacks...", a thread about Hollywood & the quality of movies they put out.

Howdy Hide,

Tonight I'd like to discuss movies, particularly movies that strike some sort of internal chord for one reason or another. To clarify- I'm not personally interested in your "all-time" favorite movie, nor am I personally interested in discussing the one of the better movies you've seen recently that stood above the recent crap that's been coming out. Rather I'm talking about movies that either have a theme or plot that for one reason or another resonates within you for one reason or another. The good news is you don't have to share why it stands out to you personally but I'd request you identify the movie and what part of the plot or what scene made it memorable to you.

Hopefully I'm able to keep this post less "wordy" than the last one I started.

For me- I'm a bit of a sucker for powerful monologues. Don't know why but I personally love when the movie is over and there's a particular part of the dialogue that stays with me and causes me to dwell on what was said. So having explained that- to start this thread off, I'll share one of those movies that "checks" said boxes...

"Good Will Hunting"

As mentioned, I too will refrain from delving into the "why" it is on the top of my list but suffice to say (as alluded to) it is related to the monologues & plot contained in that movie.

It's a shame (in my opinion/per my preferences) that we don't tend to see these type of movies made anymore.

As a "bonus" movie, I'll also throw in a personal appreciation of the flick "Secondhand Lions".

Any thoughts on the topic?
